What's New -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Version 0.75 (10/5/00): This version covers up to when you first enter Chronopolis after defeating Vita. As a quick note, this is going to be the last update I'm making until I TOTALLY finish this guide. That large update will include the last parts of the walkthrough, as well as all the lists (Enemies/Weapons/Armor/Accessories/Elements), so it'll take about a week at most, then this guide will be finished! One more thing, I am not adding Game Shark codes to this guide since there are WAY too many of them to list. Go visit http://www.cmgsccc.com if you need those codes so badly! Version 0.6 (10/3/00): Got a bit more of the walkthrough done with this update. The walkthrough now covers just before entering the Sky Dragon Isle to fight the Sky Dragon. The next update will really cover much more of the game, I promise! Version 0.5 (9/25/00): Here's a moderately sized update that I've made during the past few days. The walkthrough now covers up to the return to Viper Manor. Expect the next few updates or so to finish up the walkthrough and the addition of the "non-walkthrough" sections will begin. Version 0.4 (9/18/00): Look, I'm really sorry about the lack of updates I've been making lately. It's all because of the fact I have school and I hardly have time to play the game and work on this guide. However, this guide will be worked on daily, but won't be publicly updated as often. Sorry, but just try to bear with me here. Version 0.35 (9/10/00): I updated the walkthrough section a bit more with this new update. The guide now covers all the way up to the second save point in the Water Dragon Isle at Another World. Expect bigger updates to the walkthrough to appear in the next couple of guide updates! Version 0.3 (9/2/00): This update includes a walkthrough all the way up to when you return to Termina after Guldove. I also included guides for all 3 paths to Viper Manor, as well as if you chose to save Kid or not. Expect a larger portion of the walkthrough to be added with the next update! Version 0.2 (8/28/00): I added some more of the walkthrough, as well as a Bosses section and a Shops section. My walkthrough is up to Viper Manor with Guile as your guide. Next update will include a guide for the other 2 paths (Nikki and Pierre as your guides). Version 0.1 (8/21/00): The first and VERY incomplete version of this guide! I only covered the first parts of the game, but that's because I wanted to write for this game and I wanted to make sure my FAQ is posted to "save my spot" before the crowds oversaturate the game. This guide will be completed at some point, so please be patient since I'm playing the game as I write the walkthrough. ****************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= 2. Introduction -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Chrono Cross is the long-awaited sequel to the legendary game, Chrono Trigger, for the Super Nintendo. This new sequel is for the Sony Playstation. In this game, there is a whole new battle system, a large cast of characters, and many different things to choose from. Because of the many characters you can recruit throughout the game, there are many different "paths" you can take through certain parts of the game. However, my walkthrough is going to be written the way I played the game, but I will also try to explain what will happen if you do/do not recruit a certain character at a certain time. I don't want to make this a "strict" guide, I'm just going to write the walkthrough and assume you have the characters I have chosen throughout the game, and that's all. ****************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= 3. Battle System Guide -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To start, the battle system used in Chrono Cross is pretty unique and pretty difficult to get used to. There are 4 different things you can do during the battle when it's your character(s) turn in battle: you can attack, use an element, defend, or try to run away. Each character also has a Stamina Meter in their on-screen status box during the battle. I'll explain everything you'll need to know about getting through battles below. Attacking --------- When you select the "Attack" command, you'll be given the option to pick a target for your attack. After you pick that target, you'll be given a list of 4 different options. The first 3 options will be for physically attacking and the last option is if you want to use an Element to attack. As for those top three options, you'll be able to pick the degree of damage you'll cause to the enemy if your attack connects. Option #1 is for a Weak attack, #2 is for a Strong attack, and #3 for a Fierce attack. Each one has a number percentage next to it, which tells you the chances that your attack at that level will connect with the enemy and cause damage. It's recommended that you start out with using a Weak attack because the percentage will raise for the much stronger levels of attacking. Also, whenever you attack, you will lose Stamina points depending on the level of your attack. For instance, you'll lose one Stamina point if you use a Weak attack, 2 points for a Strong attack, and 3 points for a Fierce attack. When an attack of a specific level connects with the monster, your Power Level will rise that many points (1 point for Weak, 2 for Strong, and 3 for Fierce). As that meter rises, you'll be able to use Elements to attack. Element Attacks --------------- Your second option will be to use an element to attack the enemy/enemies in the battlefield or heal your party. Elements can be considered as magic spells, and you can only use them when the Power Level rises. Each element has a specific color known as an Innate, and each element can be performed only when the Power Level fills to the element's level. It takes 7 Stamina points to use an element, plus it'll empty your Power Level depending on the level of the element you used. Defending --------- Well, there's nothing to explain here except for the fact that when you're attacked while defending, you only sustain about half the amount of damage you'd take if you weren't defending. You must have at least one Stamina point in order to defend, or else you're out of luck using this option in battle. Running Away ------------ As in pretty much all other RPG games, you'll be given the option to run away from the battle. You use this option to run away from the enemy or enemies if you don't want to fight in the battle. That's all I can say about this option because it doesn't need much explaining. Stamina Points -------------- An important aspect of each battle is the Stamina points each character has. Each time you attack or use an element, you lose Stamina points, whether or not your attacks connect. You start off with 7 Stamina points in a battle, and when you have less than one point left, you can't do anything in the battle until you regain those Stamina points. You regain points each time another ally/enemy attacks or uses an element in battle. If someone uses a Fierce attack, you'll regain 3 Stamina points, regardless if that attack connects or not. The same thing goes if someone else uses a Strong or Weak attack (you'll regain 2 or 1 Stamina point, respectively). If someone uses an element, you'll also regain Stamina points (I don't know the exact amount though). To sum it up, you need these Stamina points in order to do anything in battle, therefore they're probably the most important aspect of the battle system. Innates ------- The classes that each character is classified under, known as Innates, are also important to the outcome of each battle. The six classes are: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, White, and Black. All the elements have a specific Innate, as does each character and enemy in the game. The Innates are made up of 3 pairs: White and Black, Yellow and Green, and Red and Blue. Say someone with an element with a Blue Innate attacks an enemy with the Red Innate, that enemy will lose more Hit Points because Blue is the opposite of Red and elements with those Innates do more damage to their opposites than any other Innate. There is a graph in the upper-left corner of the screen during battle known as the "Field Effect". This chart is split into 3 sections, and the smallest one is to the right. Each time an element is used to attack and it connects, the Innate color of that element will fill in the right-most section of the Field Effect graph. When that graph is filled in entirely with one Innate color, any element attack of the color in that graph will be much stronger. However, any enemy/ally with the opposite Innate color will become weaker and attacks by the dominating color will cause much more damage. If you want to use a Summoning Element, all 3 sections of the Field Effect graph must be the same color. You'll consume a Star Level each time you use Summoning Element as well. After Battle ------------ When you defeat all the enemies and complete the battle, you'll be given three options. You can either use the remaining power in your character(s) Power Levels to automatically use a curing element and heal the party. You can choose to heal like the above option, but you'll also be able to use Consumable Elements to do so. You'll also have the option not to heal the party and exit. There's no point in not healing because the power in the Power Levels don't carry on to the next battle, so make sure to always heal after each battle! Status Effects -------------- During battle, there can be many different ailments caused by being attacked with a certain Element. Here is a full list of the different effects, the Innate color of that effect, and what they do: Status Effects That Remain Even After Battle (A Consumable Element of the same color as the ailment must be used to cure it) Status Property Effects ------ -------- ------- Poison Green Loss of HP in and out of battle Burn Red Defense decreases in battle; 2x damage outside battle Sprain Yellow Attack decreases in battle; can't run outside battle Flu Blue Stamina recovery rate decreases in battle; control becomes difficult outside battle Status Effects That Occur Only During Battle (Wears off in time, or a Consumable Element of the same color can cure it) Status Property Effects ------ -------- ------- Afraid Green Become more likely to get hit by critical hits in battle Confused Red Loss of control; you attack allies and enemies in battle Dizzy Yellow Chances of avoiding enemy attacks decrease Frozen Blue Cannot move at all in battle Fatigued White You'll need more stamina in battle to perform any actions Asleep White Defense decreases; can't do anything in battle Darkness Black Chances of hitting the enemy decrease Cursed Black You lose stamina each time you're attacked in battle E. Lock All You'll be unable to use elements of the corresponding Color (E. Lock is an abbreviation of Unable to use Elements) Consumable Elements That Remove Status Effects Element Property Effects ------- -------- ------- Antidote Green Removes status effects with the Green property Ointment Red Removes status effects with the Red property Brace Yellow Removes status effects with the Yellow property Medicine Blue Removes status effects with the Blue property Panacea N/A Removes all status effects ****************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= 5. Walkthrough -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Dream Dungeon ------------- You start this adventure inside a place known as Dream Dungeon. After the pretty cool FMV at the opening sequence ends, you'll go inside the actual dungeon. An elevator will rise up and standing on it will be Serge, Kid, and a random third member. After the short conversation here ends and the elevator door closes, take control and head left and down the hallway into the next room. You'll appear on a balcony where you'll see a purplish crystal-like thing in the room below. After Kid complains about not being able to reach it, head back out of the room and go up and right. Follow the path down and right into the following room and head down along the path. Go left up the steps and continue down, then fight the Cybot you encounter if you want. It would help to get you used to the battle system if you fought it now. Next, continue down the steps and go down the path into the next room. Go left up the steps and into the next room, and then follow the path up and left. Don't go up the first set of steps to the right of the path just yet. Continue up and left past the second set of steps and into the next room. Go up to the altar and press X to make that purplish crystal in front of you disappear. Leave the room after that and go down the path to that set of steps leading up to the right ledge with another Cybot. Go up those steps and fight the Cybot if you want, otherwise continue up and left across a bridge onto a purplish circular ledge. Stand on it and press X to be teleported upward to a higher area. When you reach the higher ledge, Kid will talk for a moment and the third character will comment. After the conversation ends, walk up to the door and watch the freaky FMV after this. After all that, you'll end up in Serge's house in Arni Village. Arni Village (Home World) ------------------------- After the FMV, you'll see that someone is telling you (Serge) to wake up. After Serge gets off the bed and opens the windows, go to the bed and press X to find the secret savings, which is 200G. Also, check out the pots in the left side of the room to find a hidden Tablet Element. Now, walk down out of your room and talk to your mother, Marge, in the next room. She'll tell you that you've slept really late and that Leena was looking for you. Marge will also remind you of a promise that you made, which was that you'll see Leena that day. Now, go right out of the house into the actual village. Once outside, head left and talk to the man in the far-left. When he asks for your opinion of the sawfish, pick the answer "You're probably right!" and he'll give you a Komodo Scale after he finishes talking. Now, head right along the upper path and talk to the small boy there. After he tells you about his little problem, open the Key Items menu and select the Komodo Scale to give it to the boy for free (don't charge him money for it!). He'll give you an Uplift Element for your help, then give you a hint about Poshul. After he's done, go up and into the house just north of the boy. Go right through the house and down the stairs into the basement. Talk to the man in the basement, then after he's done rambling for a while, he'll give you a Shark Tooth. Now, go left up the ramp and continue left out of the house. Back outside, head up the path to the pier and talk to Leena (she's the one standing up). Talk to her and she'll ask you to get some Komodo Scales from Lizard Rock because she wants a necklace. Agree to get her the scales, then go up and off the pier. Now, head down and enter the first house to your left. Go up into the house and check the buckets next to the plant in the back to get a PhotonRay Element. Now, exit the house and head straight down through the center of town. Go down the ramp and search the cart next to the old lady to get a Shellfish Frame. Now, head left and into the next area. There, talk to Radius (the old man with the stick) and you'll enter a training battle against him. You'll learn about using Elements and general rules about fighting in the game. I recommend it to those who wish to get used to the flow of battle in this game. After that, go left and check out the small bucket to the right of the steps to get an AquaBeam Element. Then, enter the house and go down and left into the smaller room. Inspect the small frame on the wall with the symbol to get a Cure Element as well. Now, exit the house and go right to the previous village area and get to the right side of the village. Go up into the building to the right of the small boy you helped before and enter the restaurant. Go right and up to the barrel, then check it out 4 times to get an Uplift Element. Then, go up the steps into the back room and go up to the sheet on the floor and press X to get a Heckran Bone. Also, open the chest on the right shelf to get an Ivory Helmet. Be sure to equip that helmet right away! Now, go down into the previous room and continue down out of the restaurant. Then, follow the path down and right to exit Arni Village and appear on the World Map. As soon as you enter the World Map, access the menu screen and save your game, then head up and left from the village to reach Cape Howl. When you reach it (as well as any other area from the World Map in the game), press X to enter the area. Cape Howl (Home World) ---------------------- In this area, there are small holes in the ground from which geysers erupt. Try not to step across those holes when the geysers are erupting because you'll lose HP if you do that. Anyway, head up the path, then left and open the chest to get a Heal Element. Then, go right and up along the path until you can go left again. Follow the path left and open another chest to get a Bone. Now, go back right and continue up the path to the next area. There, go up the path to the peak and press X by the rock to make Serge carve "Serge and Leena forever..." on the rock. After that, go back down into the previous area, then continue down and out of Cape Howl. Back on the World Map, head down and left and enter the Lizard Rock area. Lizard Rock (Home World) ------------------------ When you enter Lizard Rock, walk up to the large boulder in the path and press X to push it into the water so it's out of your way. Then, follow the path down and right, and then open the chest to get a Fireball Element. Be sure to allocate it to Serge as soon as you get it. Now, go directly to the left and you'll find the first Komodo Pup just standing there in the path. Approach it to make it run into the cave. Then, get to the left side of the boulder to the left of the cave and press X to push it in front of the cave, thus blocking the entrance. Now, go back right and up, then left to find that Komodo Pup again. Go near it to make it run back into the cave. Quickly run into that cave and fight it since it's trapped. Use regular attacks to boost up your Power Level, and then use the Fireball Element to attack the Komodo Pup. After you win this fight and collect the Komodo Scale it leaves behind, head left along the path into the next area. There, follow the first path down and left to the wooden bridge. Before you cross it, go down the nearby ladder and open the chest to the north in the water to get a Tablet Element. Now, go down and climb up the ladder and take the path up, then when it splits, head up and left to the top. Drop down to the lower ledge and along the path to find the next Komodo Pup. Run towards it and it'll run south and jump down to a lower ledge. Run after it since it runs around the path along the watery part of this area. Just run after it and stay close until you catch it, then fight and defeat it like you did with the other one. Take the Komodo Scale after you win, then make your way to the lower-left section of this area. Go down and you'll find a hole in the ground nearby, so press X to drop into the hole. When you land in the water nearby, go right and onto the ledge and open the chest to get a Bone. Then, get back into the water and head up into a cave. Head left onto another ledge and open the chest there to get an Ivory Helmet. Now, go back right and down through the cave, then go to the lower-left area of the water and press X to go back through that hole. Now, go to the lower-right part of the room and follow the path down into the next area. In this area, you'll see the third Komodo Pup to the right, but it'll start running if you move down the path. Let it run for now, and go down and push the boulder into the water to make a chest rise to the surface. Open it to get a Silver Loupe, then go right and up the first chance you get. Go up and defeat the Beach Bum, then go up along the green tree to the next area. There, go up and onto the higher ledge with the Beach Bum. Defeat it and go down along the ledge back to the previous area. Walk down to the very edge of the high ledge, and then wait for the Komodo Pup below to start walking past the cliff you're on. Right before it walks in front of you, press X to jump down and you should land on it to engage battle. Fight and defeat this Komodo Pup, then after you beat it, get ready to fight the Mama Komodo boss! Read the Bosses section to find out how to take care of this creature. After you win, you'll gain a Star Level and all your stats will boost slightly. After the battle, you'll also get the final Komodo Scale that you need for Leena's necklace. Now, head left to the end and go up the leftmost path into the next area. Continue up and left along the path, then drop down to the lower ledge and keep going left straight to the World Map. On the World Map, save your game if you want, then go down and enter the Opassa Beach area. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- Upon entering this area, walk to the left and Leena will appear behind you. She'll take the Komodo scales and sit down by the beach while you stand next to her, then there will be a conversation between Serge and Leena. When she asks if you remember talking by the beach when you were younger, say "I remember" and she'll continue talking. When she asks about what to make of this day, pick "We'll never forget this day!" as your answer. After that, Leena will try to tell you something, but Serge will hear something else calling his name. An FMV will start and show some quick flashbacks from when Serge was younger. After it ends, you'll suddenly be warped somewhere, then knocked unconscious. An old man and his Komodo Pup will find you lying on the beach. He'll tell you that Leena is in the village babysitting, then he and his pet will leave. Now, just head right out to the World Map again. At the beach, you were warped to Another World, which is the same as the Home World, but there are different things to be done/found. So, head right and enter Lizard Rock again. Lizard Rock (Another World) --------------------------- As soon as you enter this area, you'll find that there are stronger enemies moving around here. So, make sure to allocate the AquaBeam Element (Blue) in the new space on your grid for Element Level 1. You'll need it if you encounter the enemies in this area. For now, head down and follow the left path downward. Press X when you reach the hole in the ground to come out at the end of the secret passage. At the other side, just walk onto the small island and open the chest to get a Feather. Now, go back down and left and press X at the hole you came out of to crawl back through to the other side. Next, go back up and follow the path right and down. Drop down to the lower ledge and continue right across the wooden bridge, then follow the path down into the next area. Head straight down to the lower-left corner and defeat the OpahFish there, then open the chest to get a Bone. Then, go up and follow the path all the way right through this area. Watch out when you pass the high ledge because a Komodo Pup will jump down on you as you pass. Go right and up the path at the end to reach the next area. Go up and right and fight the Komodo Pup in your way. After you beat it, go right and open the chest it was blocking to get an Ivory Helmet. Then, continue up and right out of Lizard Rock. Back at the Another World Map, head right and enter Arni Village. Arni Village (Another World) ---------------------------- When you enter Arni Village, head up the path and go up into the first building to the right to enter a flower shop. Go right to the large pot (it was a barrel in the Home World) and press X four times to get the IceLance Element inside. Then, go up the steps and into the back room. Here, go up to the blue curtain in the upper-right part of the room to reveal a chest with 5 Tablet Elements inside! Now, get out of the back room and continue left and down out of the flower shop. Back outside, continue up the path all the way to the pier. There, talk to Leena and she won't even recognize you because the Another World is 10 years into the future. She'll tell you that there used to be a boy named Serge in town, but he died 10 years ago by drowning. You can pick whatever option you want when talking to her. After she suggests you visit his grave at Cape Howl, leave the pier and enter the village area again. Head down and go left into the first house you come across. Inside this house, go up and check out the bucket near the plant to find a PhotonRay Element. Now, leave the house and follow the path left to the second house, then enter that house. Go left and up the steps into the following room. There, go up and left behind the high shelves and check out that area to find a MagmaBomb Element. Now, go back down into the previous room and continue right out of the house. Then, follow the path down and left into the next area. Go left to Radius's house, but before entering the house, check out the small bucket to the right of the steps to find a Turn Red Element. Now, enter the house and go down and left, then check out the framed symbol on the wall to get 5 more Tablet Elements! Then, go back up and right out of the house. Now, head right to the main area of the village, and then continue right and up the ramp at the end. Then, just continue down and right out of town. On the World Map, head left a small bit, then go up to Cape Howl. Cape Howl (Another World) ------------------------- When you enter this area, remember not to walk across the small holes in the ground because if the geysers come out of them, you'll lose some hit points. Head up and right, then when you can go left the second time (right behind that giant rose-shaped thing in the path), head left and open the chest to get an ElectroJolt Element. Make sure to allocate it as soon as you get it (you may want to replace the Fireball Element in the Level 3 space with this one). Then, go right and up the ladder to the higher ledge. Open the chest there to get a Bone. Climb back down the ladder and continue up the path to the next area. Head up to the peak of the hill and press X when you reach the rock. Serge will check out the tombstone, then 3 people will suddenly appear behind him. They say that he's the "ghost" of the Serge that died 10 years ago and their orders are to capture him. After these guys are done arguing and get ready to seize Serge, a mysterious girl appears and jumps in between Serge and the 3 men. She'll challenge them to a fight and then a boss battle will start against Karsh, Solt, and Peppor. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating these guys. After you win, the three men will leave the area and the girl will introduce herself as Kid. She'll ask if you want her in your party after that. For now, just refuse her 3 times and she'll tell you she's heading to a town called Termina, then leave. After that, you'll reappear in Arni Village. Arni Village (Another World) ---------------------------- When you appear here, you'll be in Serge's room (you'll remember this place from the Home World) and Leena and Poshul will be there too. Leena will offer to help and will join your party, as well as Poshul. After they both join, it's time to head to Termina in the north. So, exit this room and continue right towards the exit of the house. A lady will come in and get upset, then request you leave. So, go right out of Serge's old house. Then, head right and down out of Arni Village to the World Map. From Arni Village, head up and right to the path between the mountains to enter Fossil Valley. Before you enter Fossil Valley, here's a quick list of which Elements should be allocated to each of your 3 characters, and to which spaces in their grids: Serge: (Level 1 Spaces) Tablet x5, Cure (Level 2 Spaces) Fireball, Photon Ray (Level 3 Space) MagmaBomb Leena: (Level 1 Spaces) TurnRed, Tablet x5 (Level 2 Spaces) Cure, AquaBeam (Level 3 Space) IceLance Poshul: (Level 1 Spaces) Uplift, Tablet x5 (Level 2 Spaces) ElectroJolt, PhotonRay (Level 3 Space) Heal Fossil Valley (Another World) ----------------------------- When you enter this area, head up and between the two guards. They'll tell you that there's excavation going on and that you should stay on the low path. Continue up the path to the end and head left along the path. When you see the path going upward, take that path up to the guard standing by the ladder. Talk to him and he'll ask if you are the exorcist that they called for. Say yes and he'll move out of the way, allowing you to climb up the ladder. So, climb the ladder and go up into the next area. At the top, go up the path and talk to the guy standing there. He'll tell you that they want the weird noises to stop, then he'll move out of the way for you. Continue up the path and a skeleton dressed as a clown will appear in front of you. It'll ask for you to help find its body parts, so say "Sure" and you'll receive the Heavy Skull. Now, go down a small bit, then head left along the path to where the path heads north. Instead of going north, go down the white-colored path and the guy will tell you not to go down there since he thinks a monster is there. Ignore him and continue down into the next area. There, go left to the eggs and press X to get a Big Egg, then quickly go back up that white path before the giant bird comes near and you'll have to fight it. When you get to the top of the white path, just continue going up and when you see the white path intersect and go towards the right, continue north. Go around the brownish thing in the way because you'll enter a battle if you touch it and the enemies are pretty tough. After that, continue up and collect the Bellflower sitting there. Now, go back down around that brown thing in the path and continue down and right through this area. Keep going right and down into the next area. Here, go down to the main path and follow it left and up to the end. You'll see Solt and Peppor standing around at the end complaining about how they lost the other battle with you. They will notice you're there and engage in battle against you. Read the Bosses section for help on taking care of these two guys again. After you win, your party will gain another Star Level and receive a boost in some of their stats, as well as their first Tech Skills! After Solt and Peppor run away, just follow the path up and out of Fossil Valley. On the World Map, head northwest and enter the large town of Termina. Make sure you save before entering Termina though. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Termina, you'll see a flower lady and a dragoon talking to the left. She says there was a ruckus at Fossil Valley and she can't get Bellflowers right now. She also asked about Karsh and the dragoon told her he's gone ghost hunting. After the dragoon leaves and you gain control again, head forward up the steps and you'll run into Kid at the top. She'll say something about Leena, then leave the area. After this, go up and enter Lisa's Element Shop to the right. Inside, buy at least 5 of the Antidote, Medicine, Ointment, and Brace Elements. Also, buy one of the Bushwhacker and AeroSaucer Elements. Then, exit the shop and go up the steps to the top, where you'll hear a guy talking about polishing the statue of Lord Viper. After he's done talking about being the Viper Manor, Kid will appear again and ask to join your party. This time, recruit her but don't put her in your party just yet. She'll also give you the Tele-Porter so you can switch your party members at a Record of Fate or on the World Map. Now, go left into the shady area in the corner and you'll find a hidden person out of view. When he asks if you understand him, pick the top option and he'll give you the Tea for Three Frame. Then, go down the steps and go right past Lisa's shop to the next area. Continue right until you're stopped to see a mermaid in a tank. Korcha will appear and cause trouble, then dive into the water below and paddle away in a boat. After that, keep going right and down the steps into the following area. Go down across the bridge and follow the path all the way around the watery area with the island in the middle. You'll hear a conversation between a young man named Glenn and a woman named Riddel. The man will notice you and ask if you'd be willing to give up the Bellflower that you have. Ask for money, then select 99G and he'll pay it. After that, they'll do what they have to do with the flower and then talk for a little while. They'll then decide to return to Viper Manor. After they leave, go back down and left around the path, then up across the bridge and up the steps to the next area. Go up the steps and head left to the intersection where you can go up or left. Talk to the man in yellow in front of the path going up and he'll ask you if you think his churros are too expensive. Say "Too high" and then pick 50G as the new price. After that, continue left into the next area. Now, it's time to worry about getting to Viper Manor. You'll need a guide in order to get there, and that's what the next part of my guide will cover. There are 3 different guides you can get: Guile, Nikki, and Pierre. The walkthrough for Viper Manor is based on if you picked Guile since I personally chose him as a guide. I will not add a walkthrough if you chose Nikki or Pierre as your guides since that's not how this walkthrough is set up. ============ Guile's Path ============ To start this path, enter the Bar (it's to the left of Lisa's Element Shop). Head left through the bar and talk to the mysterious man standing in the far left part of the room. He'll introduce himself as Guile, then talk for a little while. When you're given the option, select "Ask for his help" and he'll say that you need a sailor and a ship and he'll guide you to Viper Manor. Don't let him join your party just yet. Now, head right out of the bar, then go down the steps and right into the Inn. Go right to the Record of Fate (transparent greenish diamond). Remove all the Elements on both Leena and Poshul, then use the Tele-Porter and switch them with Kid and Guile. Equip each of the new party members with an Ivory Helmet accessory. Now, arrange your Elements on your new lineup like this: Serge: (Level 1 Spaces) Fireball, Cure (Level 2 Spaces) MagmaBomb, PhotonRay (Level 3 Spaces) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech) Kid: (Level 1 Spaces) Bushwhacker, Fireball (Level 2 Spaces) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam (Level 3 Spaces) Heal, Pilfer (Tech) Guile (Level 1 Space) PhotonRay (Level 2 Space) Cure (Level 3 Spaces) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech) With your lineup now in order, save your game by the Record of Fate and exit the Inn. Head up the steps one level and follow the path right past Lisa's to the next area. Continue all the way right and down the steps at the end to the following area by the water. Go down across the bridge and around the path. Go right and up, then left around the small watery area. Don't go down to that middle island where they were praying before; instead, head left under the hut. Follow that path left and down and you'll come across Korcha sitting next to his boat. Talk to him and he'll offer to take you anywhere on his boat if you pay him. Keep talking to him and pay the 100G when he asks you to, then get on board the boat and you'll be on your way. When you dock, you'll be at the Viper Manor Bluffs. Viper Manor Bluffs (Another World) ---------------------------------- When you get there and the group is done talking, start by climbing up the rock wall to the next area. There, a guard at the very top of the cliff will notice there are intruders and will start throwing giant boulders down the cliff at you. This can be hazardous because each time your group gets hit by a boulder, they'll each lose 10HP. Luckily, there are only 3 boulders dropped at a time, so you should climb upward when they aren't being thrown. Also, there are geysers coming out of some walls, and if you go through one, you'll get pushed off the wall onto an otherwise unreachable ledge. Now, quickly climb up to the first ledge while avoiding the boulders. Then, climb up to the second larger ledge and go right. Go up that wall and climb right into the geyser to reach another ledge. Open the chest there to get 5 Tablet Elements. Then, go to the left edge and drop down to the lower ledge. Climb back up the wall to the larger ledge and go right again. Climb on that wall with the geyser and stop just below where the geyser comes out. When it stops for a moment, quickly climb up to the next ledge. There, go all the way left to the end and climb up that wall to the next area. On the ledge you appear on, open the chest to get the Meteorite Element. Go back down the wall to the previous area, and then go right to the middle path going up. Climb up the middle wall there to reach the next area. There, continue up the middle path to the next ledge, and then go all the way to the far left. Climb up that wall while watching out for the geyser along the way. If it hits you, you'll fall to the lower ledge and will have to climb this wall again. When you get to the top, open the chest to get the FreeFall Trap Element. Now, go back down that cliff you just climbed up and go right along the path. When you can go up or down, go down and right, then start climbing up the wall there. Climb all the way up to the following ledge, then go left and down the small cliff. Go left to the end and climb up the cliff there to the next ledge. Then, go right and up the next cliff to the top. You'll enter a boss battle against the Acacia PVTs. Read the Bosses section to find out how to win this battle. After you win that battle, a giant bird creature will fly in and kill the guard. Before you fight it, take this time to move the PhotonRay allocated to Serge to the new Level 1 space and put the Meteorite Element in Serge's Level 2 space. Also, be sure to allocate an Uplift Element to the new Level 1 Space on Kid's element grid. Now, just climb up the cliff to reach the flying creature, then you'll be in another boss battle. Read the Bosses section again for help on defeating this creature known as KingMoaman. After you defeat it, you'll gain a second Star Level for the second boss battle here. Your group will then jump over the wall at the top and wait for nightfall to do anything. At this point, you'll be inside Viper Manor. (Please skip down to the Viper Manor section for the next part of this walkthrough.) ============ Nikki's Path ============ To start this path, head left all the way past the Bar to the next area. Head left through this area until you reach a pink staircase going up. Go up those stairs onto Nikki's ship, then go up and through the door in front of you. In that room, go right and talk to the guy there and he'll tell you Nikki is missing and Miki went to look for him. At that point, Miki enters the room and asks if you'll help find Nikki. Select "OK, rock on!" as your answer and Miki will run out of the room. Leave the room and go down the steps off the ship, then head right into the next area. Go right and down the steps to exit Termina. Head east on the World Map across the bridge over the small river. Go right a little more and enter the Shadow Forest. Shadow Forest (Another World) ----------------------------- When you enter the Shadow Forest, head left all the way into the following area. There, go up the ledges to the north to reach the top, then open the chest to get an AeroSaucer Element. Get back down to the ground, and then follow the path down and left. You'll see Nikki talking to some monster, and then he'll run away. So, follow him by continuing left and up the path. Go down and left and open the chest to get the Uplift Element along the way. Then, just go up into the next area. Go left and you'll see 2 monsters chasing after Nikki. After they corner him, go down the path and engage in battle with the demons known as Cassowaries. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating them. After you win and gain a Star Level, Nikki will jump into the water below and walk into the waterfall. Now, follow the path left to the end, then go down and right into the water and up into the waterfall to the next room. There, you'll find Nikki again. Go up to him and he'll ask to join your party since he wants to go to Viper Manor too. Let him join, then he'll ask if you want to hear a song. Say "No, thanks" for now, then he'll tell you there's a monster blocking the path to the manor. After you all leave the cave and name Nikki, remove Poshul and put Nikki in your party. Equip Nikki and your other party members with Green Elements and the Antidote and Brace Elements for the next battle in the forest. Now, head back into the waterfall and open the chest to get an Aroma Pouch. Then, check out the notebook and you'll find the Angry Scapula. Now, exit this room and go left to the giant plant in the way. Then, go up and right through the water to the round tree above the waterfall. Press X and a blue ball of pollen will follow you. Now, go back left, then down and right and into the waterfall. There, go up to the blue creature sitting there and walk by it so it follows you. Don't let it get too close that it'll eat the pollen; just start running when it follows you. Exit the waterfall and head right to the giant plant. Stay still so the creature will eat the pollen, then the plant will eat that creature! After the giant plant eats that blue creature, press X to enter a battle with it. Just use regular attacks and Yellow Elements to attack when needed. After you beat this creature, continue left into the next area. Here, go up and Solt and Peppor will appear in front of you. A dragoon will also jump from a tree above you, then a boss battle will engage. Read the Bosses section for help in winning this fight. After you win and get your 5th Star Level, Zoah will leave and let you pass. Before you go into the next area, go up and right and open the chest there to get a Heal Element. Now, go up into the next area and head up the path. Open the semi-hidden chest along the way to get a MagmaBomb Element. Continue up into the next area, and then follow the path north. Stay to the left wall and go up onto the green area of land. Defeat the "guy" standing there (Wraith), then push the boulder up to the bug hole. Push it up and it'll block the hole completely. Now, go back down to the water and continue up through the water to the next area. Here, just go all the way up into the next room, which is at the bottom of a well. The party will wait until nightfall, then climb up to the Viper Manor area. ============= Pierre's Path ============= To start Pierre's path to Viper Manor, head right past Lisa's Element shop to the next area. There, go north on the path to reach the next area. Continue up and into the building marked "Smithy", which happens to be the place where you can forge equipment. However, you don't need anything yet, so don't buy anything. Instead, go left through the room and down into the back room. Here, go right and talk to the guy standing there and he will introduce himself as Pierre. He'll also say he lost his medal and he can't get to Viper Manor without it. So, go left and down to get into the backyard of the building. There, talk to the boy running around and he'll give you the Hero's Medal. Now, re-enter the building and go up to Pierre and select the Hero's Medal from the Key Items Menu. After you give it to him, talk to him again and choose to take him with you to Viper Manor. Replace Poshul with Pierre in your party and equip him with Green Elements. Now, go left and up to the next room and continue right to exit the Smithy. Then, go down the path to the next area and head left when you reach the end. Go left past Lisa's and head down the steps all the way out of Termina. On the World Map, head right and up around the mountains and go up to Viper Manor. Press X when you get there to reach the Viper Manor Gates. Viper Manor Gates (Another World) --------------------------------- When you arrive at the gates, walk up to the guards and Pierre will try to get in. They won't let him in, so you're now given the option of what to do next. Choose "Charge!" and the group will engage in a boss battle against the guards, known as Acacia Guards. Read the Bosses section to find out how to beat them. After you win and gain that Star Level for winning a boss battle, go up to the gate and press X to open it. Now, walk up a small bit and you'll run into Solt and Peppor again. You'll enter another boss battle against them and their new friend as well. After you beat the trio, go behind the gate to the left and open the chest to get a TurnYellow Element. Then, go up the path and the group will stop and wait for nightfall before going any further. After that, you'll be inside the Viper Manor area. Viper Manor (Another World) --------------------------- When you enter the Viper Manor (remember that the walkthrough for this area is assuming you had Guile as your guide), you'll be outside in the dark courtyard. There will be guards you can fight and defeat here, and there's a large spotlight moving around the area. Don't get spotted because you'll be chased down by the guards and attacked. Before you go anywhere, go up and press X to open the door, then go up and open the chest to get a TurnBlue Element. Now, make your way up through the middle of this courtyard while avoiding the spotlight. Open the large doors when you get to the wall to enter the stables. Here, go up and use the Record of Fate to save your game. Then, go up and talk to the man standing there. He'll ask if you're the new helpers, so pick "That's right" as the answer and he'll ask you to feed the dragons. After you feed them, he'll let you have the key to the manor. Choose to feed them and you'll be asked how many times you'll feed the dragons. I'd say go for 10 or 20 times the first time to get used to it. Here's a quick list of the prizes you can win and how many times you have to feed the dragons to win them: Times Prize ----- ----- 10 Knee Pad (Accessory) 20 Bronze Helmet (Accessory) 30 Bronze Mail (Armor) 40 RecoverAll (Element) 50 Iron Vest (Armor) This mini-game is set up like this: there are 5 dragons in a row that you must feed. You feed them bales of hay, which you get by going to the left-most spot and pressing X. You can only hold 3 bales of hay at once, and each dragon eats one bale at a time. However, you can only feed the dragons when their heads are raised. You must be quick because if you don't feed a dragon when its head is raised, it'll get mad and lower its head. If you fail to feed one of the dragons four times (it'll be VERY red at that point), you lose. After you win this mini-game once, the man will tell you to take the Manor Key from the cupboard, and he'll give you a prize according to the number of times you fed the dragons. After that, talk to the man a second time to be able to feed the dragons again. Choose to feed them 10 times and succeed to win a Knee Pad accessory. Then, feed them 20 times and succeed to get a Bronze Helmet. Then, feed them 30 times to get a Bronze Mail. Finally, feed them 40 times to get a RecoverAll Element. Equip the Bronze Helmet and Bronze Mail to Kid. Now, go right and up to the cupboard against the north wall and press X to get the Manor Key. Now, go down all the way out of the stable. It's time to allocate some more elements to your party like so: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) Meteorite, Medicine x5 (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech) (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Fireball (yes, two Fireballs) (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam (Level 3 Elements) TurnBlue, Pilfer (Tech) (Level 4 Element) RecoverAll Guile: (Level 1 Element) PhotonRay (Level 2 Element) MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Element) Cure Now that your group is set up for Viper Manor, exit the stables and go down through the area while avoiding the spotlight. At the south wall, head left into the next area. Follow the path up through this area and defeat the guards along the way. Defeat the guards in front of the entrance to the manor, then continue up to the end and open the chest in the left corner to get 5 Ointment Elements. Now, go down to the entrance and press X to enter the manor itself. In this room, go up and try to open the door, but you can't. Check out the snake statue to the left and decide to turn the numbers on it. Just pick any numbers because you don't know the combo just yet. You'll fall into a trap that puts your group in a cage in the basement guarded by dragoons. Kid will make the dragoons mad, then they'll unlock the cage for you. Press X to exit the cage and you'll fight the guards. Defeat them, then exit the cage and your group will take the guard uniforms as disguises. Now, go down the steps to the next area. Here, go try to open the chest and you'll have to fight the Boxer Boys. Pick one and you'll automatically win the fight or you'll have to fight them. After you get through this, go left and talk to the guard. After that, go back up the stairs to the previous room and go through the left door down the hallway. Enter the first door to enter the kitchen area. Go up and left into the actual kitchen, then go up and open the cabinet to get a TurnGreen Element. Then, get to the upper-right corner of the room to get the Dragoon's Honor. Now, go down and talk to Glenn standing there and he'll say something and walk out of the room. Follow him out of this room and go left, then enter the third door in this hallway. Go up and talk to Glenn by the wall, then he'll write something on the wall and walk away. Check the wall where he was standing to read the code for the lock in the upper level. It's a random combo from what I know, so I'm just going to ask you write down the combo for later use in Viper Manor. Now, go left to the other half of this room, then go down and open the chest to get a Revive Element. Get back to the right side of the room and save your game using the Record of Fate, and then leave this room completely. Head right and press X at the end to get out of the left hallway. Then, go right and press X to reach the right half of this area. Talk to the guards and they'll say you need a password to enter the treasure vault. When they ask for the password, don't even pick an answer and they'll respond after a few seconds saying that the password is silence. They'll then move and allow you to enter the room. Try opening the chest to the right and you'll fight the Boxer Boys. After you take care of them, go up and your party will comment about the absence of the Frozen Flame. After that, go up to the wall and take the 3 items from the pedestals: a Bronze Sword, Bronze Mail, and Hero's Shield. Equip Serge with the Bronze Mail right now, Then, go right and press X by the vase and you'll fight a monster. Beat it and you'll get the TurnRed Element. Now, check out that shiny thing on the right wall and choose to "Grab it" to get a Silver Pendant. After you take it, you'll be caught in a trap, which brings you into a cage in the following room. When you arrive in the next room, a woman will come up to your cage and realize you're not really a group of dragoons. She'll then open the cage and you'll all walk out. The woman will introduce herself as Luccia, then unleash her Neo-N-Bulbs to attack you. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating these creatures. After you win, you'll obviously gain another Star Level, as well as gain some status boosts! Luccia won't be too impressed and she'll just ask you to leave. Before you do anything else, be sure to allocate the Revive Element on Serge's new Level 2 space in his grid, and a TurnRed Element in Kid's new space as well. At this point, go left to the small cage on the shelf. Talk to the creature inside and it'll introduce itself as Pip. Talk to it a second time and open its cage. After that, go right and try to exit the room. Luccia will offer to help you again sometime. Then, you'll be able to exit the room. In the hallway, talk to the giant Roborg and choose to bust it up. You'll enter a battle against it at that point. Defeat it using regular attacks and lots of attack Elements, particularly the Green ones. Since the Roborg has a lot of strength and causes lots of damage in one shot, make sure your party is in good shape for the whole battle. After you win, head right in front of the next door. Go up to the door and wait for the eyeball to close, then press X and enter the room. In this room, open the chest to the right to get a Bronze Helmet. Equip it on Serge, replacing the Ivory Helmet, then go up and take the Décor Shield off the wall. Then, go to the north part of the room and you'll see 5 statues lined up, but one's missing a shield. Go up to the one without it and select the Décor Shield to place it on the statue. You'll have to fight 5 Man-Of-Wars now because of this. To beat the Man-Of-Wars, use regular attacks and lots of White Elements to fight them with. Keep the party in good shape since their attacks cause a lot of damage. After you win this tough battle, go down to the statue of a snake in the middle of the room. Push it up and right into the niche against the wall to open up a hidden door in the wall. Enter that room and try to get near the chest, but you'll lose 10HP because of the steam. Leave the room and talk to the guard in the corner of the room and he'll tell you that you'll need the general to open the chest. So, go down out of this room and head right up the stairs to the next floor. Here, go in front of the first door to the right and wait for the eyeball to blink. Then, quickly press X and enter that room. Go up to the chest and try to open it, but Zoah will wake up and won't let you open it. Talk to him a few times and ask each of the 3 options as they appear. However, he still won't let you open the chest, so leave the room. Go left and enter the next room and try to open the chest here. Karsh will stop you, so talk to him and ask some questions as well. After that, try opening the chest 20 times and Karsh will finally let you have the Dragoon Gauntlet inside. Now, equip it on Serge as his second accessory, and then leave this room. Head left to the end of the hallway and press X to enter that middle room again. Go up to that snake statue and enter the code you found out from Glenn earlier in Viper Manor. After you do that, the door will open. Now, go up the stairs and into the next room. A Roborg blocks the door to the right, so go left and into that room instead. Go left across the bridge and open the door at the other side to enter the library. Head left up the staircase and walk up to the girl standing to the right. Your group will reveal themselves and an old man from a higher ledge will climb down a ladder to talk to you. He'll talk to you about the two different worlds and the difference between the two. After he's finally done talking, you'll enter a battle with the little girl known as Marcy. Read the Bosses section to find out how to defeat her. After you win, you'll gain a Star Level and Serge and Kid will gain another Level 1 slot in their grids. Marcy will run away and the Prophet will give you a hint about the next part of the Viper Manor. Now, go up the stairs to the higher balcony and go right. Press X at the spot where Marcy did to lower the ladder before, then climb the ladder and open the chest there to get a TurnWhite Element. Then, climb down the ladder and go left down the stairs again, then go down and exit the library. Go right across the bridge to the main area of the manor and go right. A harlequin named Harle will walk up to you and insult Kid a couple times. She'll tell you not to fight Lynx and then she'll leave. After she leaves, go up through the middle of the room and defeat the enemy that falls from above on you. Defeat it, then get to the left side of the room. You'll see a few thin pillars to the left; go up to the second to last one and press X to find a switch. Hit it to lower a platform behind the nearby guards. The guards will then run towards you and fight. Defeat them, then go onto that platform and press X by the throne to find a switch. Hit it and the platform will bring you up to another ledge. Then, just go up the steps into the next room. In this room, go left and save the game using the Record of Fate. Also, it's time to re-arrange your Elements for the next part of the game. Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) Meteorite, Medicine x5, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech) (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, Uplift, Fireball, Fireball (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AquaBeam, AeroSaucer (Level 3 Elements) TurnBlue, Pilfer (Tech) (Level 4 Element) RecoverAll Guile: (Level 1 Element) PhotonRay (Level 2 Element) MagmaBomb (Level 3 Element) IceLance, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Element) Cure Now that everything's set up, go up to the second door to the right and wait for the eyeball to blink, then enter the room. Go up to the desk and press X and Kid will think the Frozen Flame is there. When she says she'll ask the general directly, the wall panel will open and General Viper will come out. He'll talk to Kid for a moment, then Lynx will come out and talk. Kid will threaten him and the battle will begin. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Lynx. After you defeat Lynx, your party will gain yet another Star Level and gain some status boosts. Then, Lynx will reappear since you merely defeated his shadow and try to talk to Serge. An FMV will start and the blue item on the desk will activate, causing Serge to see something happen to the world. After it ends, a bunch of shadow cats will appear and Riddel will enter the room. Kid will take her captive and the group will leave the room. Your group will then make an escape to the roof of Viper Manor with Lynx, General Viper, Karsh, and a couple guards following you. They'll try to work out a deal with Kid, then when she looks away, Lynx attacks Kid and she falls off the roof to the water below. Lynx will come closer to Serge, and then Serge and Guile will jump off the roof as well. When you all land at the very bottom of the bluffs by Korcha, the main menu will open up. Save your game and then exit the menu, then the game will show Serge lying in a bed in the town of Guldove. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- When you wake up in Guldove, a lady will tell you your friends are outside waiting for you. So, go right out of the house and Kid will start talking to you. After a few words, she'll pass out and Serge, Korcha, and Guile will bring her to the clinic in town. You'll find out she's been poisoned and has 2 days to live. The only thing that can cure her is Hydra Humour, but the Hydra is supposedly extinct. The doctor will leave the room and Korcha will try to get him back, but he'll bump into Harle. She'll enter the room and make Korcha mad, then disappear after talking for a moment. After that, Kid will want to talk to you, so go to her bedside and talk to her. She'll give you the Astral Amulet and decide to rest for a while. Korcha will then ask you what you're going to do. At this point, you have two different options: you can either choose to save Kid, or say "...I don't know" and not try to save her. Whether or not you choose to save her will affect the next part of the game and whom you'll be able to meet and recruit. If you choose to save her, you'll be able to recruit Korcha, Razzly, and Mel later in the game. If you choose not to, you can recruit Macha, Glenn, and Doc. I personally chose to save her, so that's what this guide is going to reflect later on in the game. Below, I will add a walkthrough for both ways (if you choose to/not to save Kid), but keep in mind that my guide is going to assume you saved Kid later on. ============== Not Saving Kid ============== If you're choosing not to save her, Korcha will get upset and demand you leave the Astral Amulet here. He'll then leave the building and you'll have to choose a third party member for your group. I'd say you should just put Leena in your group for now. Then, go left into the next room and continue down out of this hut. Head left across this area to the next section by the pub. Go left and up the ladder to the second floor and go right to the next area. Here, go right and enter Korcha's house. Talk to him and he'll refuse to lend you his boat, then his mother Macha will come in. She'll have a long talk with him, then she'll decide to borrow the boat and bring you to Termina herself. She'll tell you to call her when you're ready to leave the village. She'll also give you the Tropical Paradise Frame, and then she'll really leave the house. Now, leave Korcha's house and go left across the bridge to the next area. Go around the hut and continue left to the leftmost area. Enter this large hut and talk to the shaman, Direa. After she's done talking, you can save your game with the nearby Record of Fate if you want, otherwise leave the shaman's hut. Go right around the hut and head right across the bridge to the next area. Climb down the ladder to the ground level and go right to the following area. Go right and talk to the person in yellow clothes. Choose to trade Elements, then hit Circle to exit this shop. She'll ask you to take this bone she has, so take the Pelvic Bone for Skelly and go right and talk to Macha. Tell her you're ready to go, then get on the boat and she'll take you to Termina. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you arrive in Termina, a man will tell Macha to move the boat elsewhere. She'll get mad and the guy will walk away. Macha will then allow your group to go explore Termina since you're here. So, go up and right up the path to the next area. Go right and down the set of stairs, then you'll hear a conversation between Glenn and the florist. He'll talk about going to a fort and how he might be discharged from the Acacia Dragoons if he goes there. After he leaves, go back up the stairs and go right to the next area. Go right and talk to the fortuneteller (the glowing eyes in the dark tent) and ask for Guile's fortune. The fortuneteller will realize he lost the bet and will give Guile a Brass Rod for winning the bet. Then, choose to quit and he will say something to Serge about being the key of destruction. After that, go back left to the previous area. Continue left across to the following area to the left. Go down the steps and talk to Macha, then choose to straighten things out. Keep talking and she'll let you borrow the boat permanently! Glenn will then appear and ask to borrow the boat. Macha will direct him to you, then let him join your group. After that, let Macha join your crew as well. You don't have to put her in your party, but you should replace Leena with Glenn though. After Macha leaves, press X to get onto the boat. When you appear at the World Map on the boat, head north and east across the north shore of the large continent. Go right and up around the island with the smoke coming out of it and dock on the east side of it to reach Hermit's Hideaway. ========== Saving Kid ========== After you choose to find a way to save Kid, Korcha will join you and you'll be asked to put a third member in your party for now. Put Leena in there for now, then Korcha will ask what to do now. They'll decide to visit the shaman, then leave the room. Korcha will talk to a cat and a girl will run out and take the cat away. The group will then go outside and Korcha will allow you to do what you want to do, then call him when you're ready to go. For now, go down and talk to the guy in yellow. He'll trade you items you'll need to forge weapons, armor, and accessories for Elements you may have. Don't trade right now, then he'll ask you to take this bone he has. Take the Pelvic Bone, and then go left to the guy behind the blue counter. De-equip the Ivory Helmets that your 3 current party members might have equipped, then talk to the man to get equipment forged or disassembled. Choose to disassemble all the Ivory equipment (mails, vests, and helmets) that isn't equipped. Also, disassemble the Knee Pad, Pendragon Sigil C, and all other accessories you have de-equipped. Forge the Copper Swallow and Besom Cu29 as weapons for Serge and Leena, then forge 2 Bronze Mails for Guile and Leena. Finally, forge a couple of Bronze Helmets for those in your current party that don't have it equipped. Now, disassemble as much of the old stuff as you can, then head up and left into the next area. Go left and into the bar in the next area. You'll hear Doc talking about his problems to Orlha the bartender. After they're done and you're back outside again, go up the ladder to the second floor and go left to the next area. Here, enter the hut and you'll meet the shaman of the village, Direa, inside. After you talk to her for a moment, she'll tell you that you should try to return to the Home World because the hydra might still exist there. Then, save your game with the Record of Fate and exit this hut. Go right and across the bridge to the next area. Continue right around the building and keep going right to the third hut. Go up and around so you're behind this hut, which is Korcha's house. When you get behind it, walk down into the back wall to enter a hidden room. There, open the brown chest to get a Feathery Dress. Leave the room and go back around and left out of this area. Go around the middle building and down the ladder to the floor below. There, enter the bar again and talk to the dwarf to find out about the Hydra Marshes. Talk to it a second time to get the Green Tinkler. Now, leave the bar and go down and right into the next area. Head all the way right and talk to Korcha and tell him you're totally ready to go. At that point, board Korcha's boat and he'll take you to Termina. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you dock at Termina, a man will come running out complaining about where Korcha docked the boat. Korcha will bribe him, then the man will walk away happy. Now, recruit Korcha, but don't let him in your party yet. Now, head up the steps and right up the path to the next area. Continue right all the way to the following screen. There, go right and talk to the fortuneteller (the glowing eyes in the dark tent) and choose to hear Guile's fortune. The fortuneteller will give him a Brass Rod for winning a bet they made before. Then, choose "Quit" and she'll say something to Serge. After that, go back left to the previous area. Go left and into Lisa's Element Shop. Buy two of each non-consumable Element (Cure, Heal, Fireball, MagmaBomb, AquaBeam, IceLance, ElectroJolt, Uplift, Bushwhacker, and AeroSaucer), and then exit the shop. Go down the steps and enter the Inn, then save your game using the Record of Fate. Now, it's time to reallocate your Elements (both allocated and in stock) as follows: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, Bushwhacker, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb Guile: (Level 1 Element) Cure (Level 2 Element) ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Element) IceLance Leena: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Cure, Uplift, AquaBeam (Level 2 Elements) ElectroJolt, TurnRed, AeroSaucer, Fireball (Level 3 Elements) IceLance, MaidenHand (Tech) (Level 4 Element) MagmaBomb Now that your group is properly equipped with both elements and equipment, exit the Inn and go up the steps and go right past Lisa's to the next area. Go all the way right and down the steps at the end to reach the following area, then head down and across the bridge to witness a funeral. After the funeral, a masked man named Greco will come up to you and say something, and then he'll go into his hut. Follow him into his hut and talk to him, then choose to take him with you. You'll now recruit Greco into your party, but I'd prefer not to actually put him in current party right now though. Now, exit the hut and go down the steps to the left, then go up the path and up the white stairs to the next area. Go all the way left through this section to the following scene, and then go left past Lisa's and down the white steps all the way out of Termina. On the World Map again, go right and down through the Fossil Valley, then continue south and east to the Hydra Marshes. Hydra Marshes (Another World) ----------------------------- When you enter this area, go up and press X by that plant on the left path. Then, walk over it and into the marsh's poisonous water. Before you enter this area, I must warn you that the longer you stay in that marshy water, your party will lose hit points. That is unless you have the Safety Gear, which I'm going to tell you how to find soon. Now, quickly run up and left through the marsh to the piece of dry land. Walk up into the marsh by going on that log, then go left and open the underwater chest to get 5 Tablets. Now, quickly get back onto the dry land and go left to the next area. Here, head up and left along the path, then follow it left to the next area. Go left and up and save your game with the Record of Fate if you want. Otherwise, continue right to the next area. Continue up the path, but right before you walk under the overpass, take the thin path right and up to the higher ledge. Go left and open the chest to get an ElectroJolt Element, then head right and up to the next area. Go up the path and talk to the first guy to get Safety Gear. Now you'll be able to walk through the marshes without losing HP! Now, go back down to the previous area and go left along the path. Go down that thin path to the lower area and go down and left to the next area. Save your game here, then go down and right to the following area. Continue down and right along the path to the next area, then head down into the marshes again. Go right and into the marshes by going right across that little log. Then, go up the path to the next area. In this next area, enter the marshes and go down and left and open the chest to get a Bushwhacker Element. Then, go right and up and walk up across the log to the top. Go up to the plant and select the Green Tinkler from the Key Items menu to make it bend for you. Walk down it into the marsh and go up and left around the bend. Take the path up onto the dry land and open the chest to get a Seed. Now, go down into the marsh again and go left and up to the next area. Head up and right through the marsh and open the chest to get Carapace, then go right to the next area. Go right and down and save your game if you want with the Record of Fate. Otherwise, continue right and up through the marshes to the dry land again. Go up and right along the path to the following area, then go up to the marsh's edge. You'll see a couple of enemies in the marsh going after an underwater chest. They'll notice you and start a fight with you. Simply use regular attacks and Yellow Elements to defeat them. After the battle, open that underwater chest to get the Life Sparkle. Now, go left to the previous area and go left while holding Down to stay against the south wall. Go down through the secret passage, then go right and up and open the hidden chest to get a BatEye. Now, go left and up through that passage again and continue left and down, then left some more through the marsh. Go down onto the dry land and defeat the enemies roaming around if you feel like it, otherwise continue down and right along the path. Go up at the end and open the chest to get Copper, then go down and right to the next area. Go down the path past the Centaurpede, unless you want to fight it. Then, continue down to the marsh and go right and down to the dry spot again. Go right and up around the wall and open the chest to get 5 Tablets. Then, go down the dry path to the next area and open the chest there to get Copper. Go left and defeat the Potpourri enemy, then go left down the slippery slope into the marsh. Now, just go all the way left through the area to the log at the end. Walk down onto the dry land and continue down and right through that marsh. Go right and down onto the dry land, then go down the path out of Hydra Marshes. Back on the World Map, head west and north through Fossil Valley, then continue northeast around the mountains to reach Viper Manor again. Viper Manor (Another World) --------------------------- When you enter this area, go up to the Roborg by the gates and choose to bust it up. After you defeat it, press X to open the gate, then go behind the left gate and open the chest to get a TurnYellow Element. Then, continue right to the next area and go right and press X to enter the actual manor. Open the right door and go right through the hallway and through the doorway at the very end to go downstairs. Head left and open the gate at the end, then go down the stairs below to reach the basement. Check out the desk below the stairs to get a Parlor Key, then go back upstairs and open the left doorway, then go down the hallway and up the stairs at the end. On this floor, enter the first door to the left and open the chest here to get a TurnBlack Element. Leave the room and enter the second room by using the Parlor Key, then open the chest here to get a Daemon Charm. Now, leave the room and go right down the hallway, then open the door at the end. Go up and through the double doors up the stairs and into the next room. Open the door to the left and go into that room, then go left across the bridge and open the door at the other side to enter the library. Get into the middle area and go behind the desk the Prophet is standing in front of. Go up to the bookcase and press X to find a secret area. Choose to go down, then talk to the Beach Bum there to get the Porre's Furnace Frame. It'll also offer to change Serge's name. Do so if you want, then go up the ladder to the library again. Go right around the room and go down to exit the library. Now, go across the bridge to the main area again and head right and down to the next room. Go right and up the hallway to the throne at the end. Push X by the throne and press the switch to make the platform raise up to a higher ledge. Then, just go up the steps and into the next room. There, head up and right to reach the roof of Viper Manor. Go right, but before talking to Luccia, go up and right and climb the ladder to the higher platform. Open the nearby chest to find a Sight Scope accessory. Climb back down the ladder and talk to Luccia. She'll tell you about the NeoFio plant and the Life Sparkle's use. After she walks away, use the Life Sparkle from the Key Items menu to make NeoFio blossom and become recruited! Name it, but do not put it into your party right now. After this, go back left and into the manor again. Go left and down the hall to the following room, then go down the steps to the throne. Press X and hit the switch to lower the platform to the floor below. Then, just go down the hall and into the next room. Go down the steps and open the double doors, then open the right door and go right down that hall. Go through the doorway at the end to go downstairs. There, go left and enter the second door to reach Luccia's lab. When you enter, Luccia will be letting the dishwasher guy for the kitchen out of her trap. After he leaves, talk to Luccia and allow her to join your group. Like with NeoFio, don't let her into your party yet either. Now, go up and right and press X by Luccia's desk to find a Silver Earring. Then, go right and exit the lab. Now, go right and up the stairs to the next floor again. There, go all the way left and open the gate door at the end, then go down to exit the building. Go left to the next area, and then just keep going through the gates to exit Viper Manor completely. On the World Map, head south and through Fossil Valley. Then, just continue southwest all the way to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Another World) ---------------------------- When you arrive at Opassa Beach, your party will talk for a moment. After you can move, go left and you'll find the green wormhole that connects the two worlds together. Select and use the Astral Amulet from the Key Items menu and your party will warp to the Home World via the wormhole. After you arrive there, go right and exit Opassa Beach. On the Home World Map, go up and head all the way east to the Hydra Marshes. Hydra Marshes (Home World) -------------------------- When you enter the marshes, go up and talk to the guy in your way. After he lets you pass, take the right path up into the marshes and go right and down around the bend. Then, go left and open the chest to get a Feather. Now, go back up and left and up some more to reach the dry land. Serge will see a spirit floating around, then moving to the next area. After that, go up and across that log into the marsh at the other side, then go right and down and open the chest to get a Bone. Go back left and up that log and continue left to the next area. Go up the path a little bit and the party will stop because something big is coming near. After the giant creature flies by, continue up the path all the way to the north-most point. Open the chest to get a Brace Element, and then go down and left to the next area. Go left and up and a weird creature known as a Beeba will appear and tell you to leave. You'll then choose to fight this creature and its cohorts. After you beat it, it'll apologize and leave a chest behind for you. Open it to get a Beeba Flute, then stand on the blue spot and use the Beeba Flute, but nothing will happen. So, go up and save your game and go right to the next area. Continue right and up the path, then go along the path leading under the higher one and talk to the Beeba standing there to battle it. After you finally defeat this group of Beebas, they'll disappear and let you open the chest. Take the Bushbasher Element inside, then go down and right up that small path to the higher ledge. Now, go right and up the path to the next area. There, go right and onto the center platform, then use the Beeba Flute to make the Wingapede appear. You'll then enter a battle against it. In this battle, you should be careful because when Wingapede attacks with AcidicGas or PoisonGas, it'll take away HP and possibly poison your party. Luckily, the poison effect doesn't take your HP away THAT quickly! Start off by using regular attacks to boost the power levels, then have your characters use their Yellow Elements to attack. Heal your group by using Cure or Heal elements if needed, then keep pummeling the Wingapede with regular attacks and Yellow Elements until you defeat it. After you win (no you do not gain a Star Level, sorry), walk into the middle of this platform. The floor will collapse since it's cracked after Wingapede was defeated, and you will land in a room below with a huge creature. After that, go up to the giant monster and press X to find out that it is sleeping. Now, go around the room to the south end and talk to the fairy in the small cage. The monster will awaken and your group will be stuck fighting Pentapus, which is that monster's name. This creature has pretty high defense, so you can't do too much damage to it with regular attacks. Fight it by using regular attacks to boost your characters' power levels, then use all sorts of Elements to attack. It's preferred you use Guile's Tech Skill, Wandaln, to attack this creature, as well as any Red Elements you have. Watch out because when it attacks a party member, it does a whole lot of damage to them. Use Cure or Heal Elements to keep your party in good shape, then keep using regular attacks and Elements/Tech Skills until you manage to defeat this horrible creature. After this battle, open the chest behind the cage to get a RecoverAll Element. Then, open the cage to free the fairy by pressing X. She'll introduce herself as Razzly, then she'll tell you about how she's from Water Dragon Isle. Your party will explain to Razzly the link between the two worlds and all. She'll talk some more, then join your group, but do not let her in your party right now though. Now, exit this pit by climbing the upper-right wall and going into the hole to the next area. Go right and press X at the edge to jump down to the lower area. Head up onto the dry land and open the chest to get an AeroSaucer Element. Now, go back down and left, then up to the next area. Go up and right through this small area while either avoiding or fighting/defeating those giant creatures. Continue right to the next area and go down, then save your game with the Record of Fate. Then, go down onto the dry land and follow the path right and up to a chest. Open it to get an Antidote Element. Now, go back down and left, and then up into the marsh and head right where you'll find a group of dwarves. They will then engage in battle against you, so you'll have to fight. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Hi-Ho Dwarves. After you win, you'll gain a Star Level and Serge and Leena will get a new space in their Element grids. After the dwarves disappear, continue up and right through the marshes. Stay against the south wall and hold Down to enter a hidden passage. Follow it down and right, and then open the underwater chest to get a Medicine Element. Now, go back left and up through that passageway, then continue right. Before you enter the next area, take the time to allocate the Bushbasher Element to Leena's new empty space, and the RecoverAll Element to Serge's empty space. Now, go right and enter the next area. Here, go right and the dwarf will awaken the Hydra to attack you. You will now enter another boss battle against the giant Hydra. Read the Bosses section (as usual) to find out how to fight it. After you win and gain that Star Level and new stats, the dwarves will become very upset and leave. Now, go up to the Hydra and press X to get the Hydra Humour you needed. Then, head left along the path to the next area. Go left and your party will automatically reappear in the first scene of the marshes. Just go up that log onto the dry land and head down into the marshes again. Go down and right, then down onto dry land, and continue all the way out of the Hydra Marshes. On the World Map, head west all the way past Arni Village to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- At Opassa Beach, go left and find that wormhole, then use the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. When you arrive, head right out of the area to the World Map. Back on the World Map, head northeast and then north through Fossil Valley. Then, go northwest and enter Termina. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Termina, head up the steps and go left past the bar to the next area. Go down the ramp and the steps, then talk to Korcha. Choose to return to Guldove and he'll take you on his boat all the way to Guldove again. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- After you dock, Korcha will run into the nearby building, so follow him inside. In the building, go right into the next room and talk to Doc, who is sitting next to Kid's bed. Go up to him and select the Hydra Humour from the Key Items menu. Doc will then take it and run off to make the antidote for it. In the waiting room, your party along with Korcha will stand around and wait. When the Doc comes out, he'll tell Serge that Kid wants to talk to him. In the next room, Doc will tell you he'll be in the other room, and then he'll leave. So, go to Kid and she'll talk for a moment before falling asleep. In the next scene, Korcha will be talking to Doc for a moment about the two worlds. After everyone's done talking, the group will rest for the night. During the night, a girl will enter Kid's room and steal all of her Elements! In the morning, Kid will be well again and will ask Serge about what to do next. After you watch the FMV, choose the "I won't go back yet" option and Kid will choose to stick with our group. She'll continue talking for a while, then she'll look for the Elements. The group will then decide to ask the Doc about it, so they go to the next room to find that girl standing nearby. She challenges you to catch her, and then she'll run outside. When Kid asks Serge about it, keep choosing to look for Mel and the chase will begin. Start by going down and out of the building and take the path left to the next area. There, go left and enter the bar, and talk to Orlha. She'll tell you that Mel hasn't been in the bar today, so leave the bar and climb up the nearby ladder to the second floor. Then, head left to the next area and talk to the guy blocking the entrance to the shaman's hut. Korcha will ask about Mel and the guard will suggest visiting the residential tower. So, head right to the next area and Mel will walk by, then run to the residential tower. Go around the building and follow the path to the next area, then Korcha will have a kid on the top floor block off the top exit. Now, your group will enter the bottom door and corner Mel. She'll start crying and Kid will have her Elements back. After a bit of talking, Korcha will leave the house and meet you at the dock. So, reassemble your party to consist of Serge, Kid, and Leena for now. Then, go down out of the house and climb the nearby ladder to the second floor, then head left to the next area. Continue left around the middle building (this is where the Element shop is located) and head left to the following area. Go left and enter the shaman's hut. Now, remove all the Elements allocated to Leena, then go to the Record of Fate and use the Tele-porter to switch Leena for Guile. Now, save your game at this point. Now, it's time to reallocate a lot of the Elements you have to Serge, Kid, and Guile as follows: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, Bushwhacker, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Dash&Slash (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll Kid: (Level 1 Elements) Cure, Revive, Fireball, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, Fireball, AquaBeam, TurnRed (Level 3 Elements) IceLance, AeroSaucer, Pilfer (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBomb, RecoverAll Guile: (Level 1 Element) Cure (Level 2 Element) PhotonRay (Level 3 Elements) AeroSaucer, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) IceLance, Bushbasher Now that your Elements are reallocated, save your game again if you want, then exit the shaman's hut. Head right along the bridge to the next area, then go down the ladder there to the first floor. From here, head right and down to the next area. Then, continue right to the dock and talk to Korcha to be able to return to Termina. Korcha will leave your party, but he'll still take you to Termina safely. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you arrive in Termina again, go up the steps and follow the path right to the next area. Go right and down the steps, then left to witness a conversation between Glenn and the flower lady again. Your party will listen in, then Kid will annoy Glenn for a moment. Glenn will tell you to go to an island north and east of Termina before heading to Fort Dragonia. Then, he'll leave the town. So, go back up the steps and head left to the previous area. There, go left and down and talk to Korcha. He'll lend you his boat under two conditions: you give the Dragon Tear to him, and that Kid agrees to become his wife after everything is over. Just accept the offer and he'll lend you the boat! Continue talking, then choose to "Take him with you" to recruit him. Don't put in him your party, though. After Korcha swims back to Guldove, go up to the boat and press X to depart Termina. On the World Map, head up and right along the north shore of the main island you were on. Then, go up and right, then down around that island with the smoke coming out of it to reach the Hermit's Hideaway shoreline. Press X to dock, then walk along the path to reach the burned out Hermit's Hideaway. Hermit's Hideaway (Another World) -------------------------------- When you enter this area, Harle will appear and say that she caused all this destruction on the island. Talk to her until you enter a battle against her (this is NOT a boss battle, don't worry). Just use regular attacks and White Elements to cause the most damage to Harle. Keep attacking until she finally runs away and you win the battle. After you win and Harle runs away, an old man will appear and tell you about what happened. He'll then walk up a path to his secret hideaway, so follow him up the path and down the ladder into the hideaway. Talk to the old man, known as Radius, and he'll explain a whole lot of stuff to you. He'll also warn you about the cursed spirits on the seas, which makes Guile bring up something about a ghost ship. Radius will let you stay for the night after you're done talking. On the next day, go right down the steps and go up to the ladder and climb it to exit the underground area. Now, just continue down the path to the ground, then head south and out of this area completely. Back on the World Map, head onto the boat and go south into the foggy area. Choose to head into the fog and you will see a giant ship. The party will then decide to board the large ghost ship, known as S.S. Invincible. S.S. Invincible (Another World) ------------------------------- Upon boarding the ghost ship, your party will be surrounded by the pirates inhabiting the ship. Their captain, Fargo, will come out and question you about going to Mount Pyre. After you're done talking to him, he'll have one of his pirates get some enemies for you to battle (some Man-O-Wars). Just have Serge use regular attacks, and be sure to use lots of White Elements to defeat these enemies easily. After that, Fargo will unleash a giant flying creature named Polly to attack you. Fight Polly by using regular attacks and lots of Blue Elements since they cause the most damage. Be sure to use your party's Tech Skills, as well as other attack Elements after the Blue Elements run out. Be careful when Polly fights back because its attacks can take away a big chunk of your character's energy. After you beat Polly, Fargo will choose to challenge you as well. Fight using strong regular attacks, then use all sorts of Elements to attack, especially the Red Elements. Keep your party healed whenever Fargo attacks to prevent anyone from losing their hit points, then just keep attacking until you defeat Fargo. After that, Fargo will make your party go to sleep, and then a FMV will play. After the FMV is over, Kid will warn Serge about something going on outside. Some ghosts will attack the ship, and a crew member on the deck gets killed. After that, your party will engage in a battle against two Crossbones. Defeat them quickly, then use the Record of Fate nearby to save your game. Now, go down and out of this room. Go left down the hallway and defeat the skeleton enemy fighting the pirate. Then, enter the door to the right of where this fight took place and go into that room. Defeat the enemy here, and then walk onto the small crate to reach the elevated platform. Open the chest to get an AquaBall Element, then get back down to the ground and leave this room. Before you do anything else, be sure to allocate the AquaBall Element to Kid by removing the IceLance Element she has, then replacing it with AquaBall. Continue left and down the hallway, then open the chest at the very end to get a FirePillar Element. Now, go back right to the ladder and climb up it to the next floor. There, go right and enter the first door to reach the next room. Go up and left to the chest and open it to get 5 Panacea Elements. Now, leave this room and go left since you can't pass the fire to the right and defeat the enemies down here. Now, go all the way back to the door near the fire and enter that room again. Go to the upper-right corner of the room and press X to go through the vents to the next room. Go right and open the chest to get some Capsules, then go down and defeat the skeleton attacking the pirate. Then, just go down and out of this room and head right down the hallway a little more. Talk to the pirate in the way twice and he'll move for you, then go and talk to the tall man to get the "key". Now, go back left and into that room, then go to the upper-left corner of the room. Go through the vent into the next room, and then head down and out of this room as well. Go left to the ladder and climb down to the lower floor, and then go right. Go all the way to the end of the hallway and press X to use the key and open the door. Now, just continue right and into the next room. Here, defeat the Dead Beat enemy that charges at you immediately. Then, go up and right down the path to the next area, which is outside again. Head left and down the ladder to the lower ledge. Then, just go right and up the steps and into the next room. Go up and left through this room while defeating the Dead Beats along the way. Talk to Pip, who is standing nearby and he'll run away to another spot nearby. Go left and talk to him again and he'll run away a second time. Go down and right, then down the first path and go left. Go up the ramp and open the chest on the higher ledge to get a Gravitonne Element. Then, make your way right and up and open that chest to get some more Capsules. Go down and talk to Pip, who is in a hidden area where you can't see it, but Pip will run again. Follow it left to the corner and talk once more to recruit it into your group! Don't place it in your party, as always. Now, follow the path right up the steps to the next floor. Open the chest to get a PhotonBeam, then replace the Upheaval Element in Serge's level 4 space with the PhotonBeam Element you just found. Then, go down to get outside again and go right to the Record of Fate. Save your game, then go up the ladder and the steps to reach the deck. When you get there, you'll have to fight a couple of enemies. After that, you'll be told to help Captain Fargo and your party will automatically go left to the next area. Go up the steps and Fargo will fight off a couple of ghosts that were there surrounding him. Choose to take control of the wheel and your group will enter a boss battle against Dead Head. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating this creature. After you defeat Dead Head, your party will gain their 11th Star Level! After that's over, Fargo will talk for a moment, then let you leave. You'll then be back on the World Map. On the World Map, go up and take the rapidly moving path of water up to the north area, then go left and up to the Earth Dragon Isle shore. Now, just walk down and right into the actual Earth Dragon Isle. Earth Dragon Isle (Another World) --------------------------------- When you enter this area, go up all the way along the lower path until you reach the man standing next to the giant hole. Go up to the hole and press X to jump in. In the area you drop into, the sand will be moving to the left, so quickly hold Circle and run to the lower-right area and drop onto the regular ledge. Now, go left and down the ladder to a chest and open it to get 5 Brace Elements. Go back up that ladder and take the path right and down past the guy, then drop down to the lower ledge. Go down the next 2 ladders to reach the sandy floor of this place. I suggest you try not to engage in battle at all during this visit to the isle because the battles will take way too long, and they aren't worth it. So, just go left and down the path to the next area. Here, go left and down to the chest, then open it to get 5 Capsule Elements. Now, go back up and right to where you started, and then go down the ladder to the next ledge. Head left and down and right along this path all the way to the chest. Avoid battle along the way with the enemy roaming, and then open the chest to get an Upheaval Element. Next, go left and up along the path, then when it splits, continue up and right to the ladder. Climb the ladder and go up into the next room. Go right and up the two ladders, then press X at the hole to jump in and be shot back outside. When you get there, head left along the path and down the ladder, then down to exit this isle. Back on the World Map, get on the boat and head south past Termina, all the way to the smaller island to the south. It should be labeled as the Water Dragon Isle shore. There, dock the boat and enter the Water Dragon Isle in this world. Water Dragon Isle (Another World) --------------------------------- When you arrive in the Water Dragon Isle, you'll find that there isn't any water around due to some water shortages here. The enemies you encounter here aren't too powerful so you can fight them, but it's highly recommended you equip one or two of your party members with some Medicine Elements to heal the Freeze status effect in battle. Go up along the fallen column to reach the main area, then make your way right and up to the ladder. Climb up 2 ladders, then go right and down another ladder to reach a chest. Open it to get Iron, then go back up and down the ladders to the bottom area. Head all the way left to the wall, then climb up the thin yellowish portion of it to reach a chest containing Iron. Climb back down to the ground, then go right and up around the obstruction in the path. Go up and climb the yellowish wall to a higher ledge, then continue up the path and climb the next wall to reach another area. Here, go up and left to a chest in a shady area, then open it to get more Iron. Then, go right and talk to the blue fairy named Rosetta to find out the Water Dragon isn't there. So, continue right and down as far as you can go, then head right to another hidden chest. Open it to get Iron, then go left and down to the next area. Climb down the 2 walls along the way and continue down all the way out of the Water Dragon Isle. On the World Map again, get onto your boat and head north to Arni Village. When you dock near the village, go left and down to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Another World) ---------------------------- At Opassa Beach, go left and find that green wormhole and use the Astral Amulet to warp to the Home World. Then, just go right and onto the World Map again. When you reach the World Map yet again, go up and right and enter Arni Village. Arni Village (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter Arni Village, go up the path all the way to the dock. There, talk to Leena and she'll think you played a magic trick on her the first time you warped from Opassa Beach. After that, talk to the guy sitting at the edge of the dock and have him take you to Water Dragon Isle for 100G. He'll then take you by boat to the Water Dragon Isle. Water Dragon Isle (Home World) ------------------------------ When you get here, the guy that took you here will tell you to go looking for the fairies that live on the isle. So, go up to the lily pad and press X to ride it to a small island in the pond. From there, go up and ride that lily pad to the next stop. Go down and ride that lily pad to the next platform, and then ride the second one to reach another ledge. Go up the path and climb up the yellowish wall into a shallow water area, then go up and right to a chest. Open it to get an AquaBall Element. Now, go back down that wall and down the path to the lily pad, then ride it to the previous ledge. Use the one to the right to get to the next ledge, then go up and ride that one to reach yet another island. Ride the lower-right one to the next island, and then ride the next lily pad you see to another stop. Go up the ladder, then down the next one to a chest. Open it to get an IceBlast Element. Climb up and down the ladders to the lily pad and ride it to the next island. Ride the next lily pad, then go up and ride the following one to another platform. Save your game via the Record of Fate if you want, then go up and before climbing the wall, go right into the water and press X by the waterfall to get an Iron. Now, go back left and climb the wall to reach the next area. When you enter this area, you'll see the dwarves have taken over the fairy community. After the dwarves, including the chief leave, go around the area and defeat all the dwarves wandering around. Make sure to get to the lower-right area and open the chest to get a Nimble Element. After you clear the area of dwarves, climb the ladder with the cave at the top and enter the next area. Here, the dwarves and their chief will engage in a battle against you. Read the Bosses section to find out how to beat the dwarves again. After you win the battle, the chief and a couple of dwarves will retreat. Now, continue up the path and go left, then climb down the long ladder to the lower area. There, defeat a couple of dwarves if you want, and then go down into the next area. Defeat the two dwarves to the left, then save your game at the Record of Fate. After you do that, go right and down the two ladders to the next ledge. Go left and enter the small cave behind the waterfall, then defeat the dwarf guarding the chest. Open the chest to get a Scaley Dress, then equip it on Kid as her new Armor. Then, exit the cave and continue left to the next ladder going down. Climb down to the lower ledge and head right to confront the dwarves again. They'll engage in another boss battle with you, so read the Bosses section to find out how to defeat them, as well as their giant Hi-Ho Tank. After you defeat it, your team will gain a Star Level and a raise in some stats. When the dwarves finally die, continue right to find a fairy lying on the ground. Serge will check it to find out it's already dead. So, continue up to the next area. Go up the path and your group will meet the Water Dragon. It'll talk to you for a moment, then give you the Ice Breath, as well as the FrogPrince Summon Element! The Ice Breath will allow you to freeze the burning magma in Mount Pyre. You'll then be brought to the entrance of the fairy village, where the fairies will be upset at the humans, then ask Razzly to leave your group. Razzly will decide to stay with you for a while, then you'll leave the area. When you reappear in the next area, go down and ride the lily pad to the small island. Ride the one to the left, then the one to the right across the pond. Ride the lily pad to the left, then go down and talk to the fisherman to return to Arni Village. Arni Village (Home World) ------------------------- After you return to the dock at Arni Village, go up and into the actual village area. Then, just continue down and along the right path to completely exit the village and return to the World Map. When you appear on the World Map again, head southwest to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- As usual, head left to the beach area to find the green wormhole, then use the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. When you arrive, go right and onto the World Map again. On the World Map, go right and board your boat to get to the larger map. Now, go northwest to the mountainous island, where Guldove is nestled within. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Guldove, go up and left to the next area. There, go left and up the ladder, then right into that hut. Talk to the masked person that sells Elements, then buy the MeteorShower, PhotonBeam, GravityBlow, Gravitonne, HellSoul, and HellBound Elements. Now, leave the shop and go left and down the ladder. Then, go right to the next area and continue onto your boat to leave Guldove. Back on the World Map, simply head east around the island, then go to Termina. After you dock nearby, just walk around the bend and enter Termina. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Termina, go up and enter the Inn. De-equip all of Kid's Elements, and then step into the Record of Fate diamond. Now, use the Tele-Porter to replace Kid with Leena, then leave the Inn. Go up the steps and enter Lisa's Element Shop. There is a better selection here, as well as Guldove this time around. Anyway, buy an AquaBall, HealAll, and maybe another IceLance Element. Then, leave the shop and go right to the next area. Head up the path going north to reach the following area. There, enter the Smithy nearby and have the following equipment forged: Steel Swallow, Ladle Fe26, Iron Rod, 3 Iron Mails, and that's it. Equip all that stuff to your current crew (Serge, Leena, Guile), then have all the old equipment disassembled or sold. Now, leave the Smithy and go down to the previous area. Head down and left to the following area, then head down the steps to exit Termina. Now that you've gotten some more Elements and new equipment, it is time to re-arrange your Elements before taking on Mount Pyre: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, AeroSaucer, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) RecoverAll, AquaBall, Dash&Slash (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) PhotonBeam, ElectroBolt, MagmaBomb (Level 5 Element) MeteorShower Leena: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, Cure, Fireball, Uplift, GravityBlow (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, IceLance, PhotonRay, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, AquaBall, MaidenHand (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll, Bushbasher (Level 5 Element) FrogPrince (Summon) Guile: (Level 1 Element) AquaBeam (Level 2 Element) IceLance (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) Bushbasher, AquaBall (Level 5 Element) HealAll After you finish with your new Element lineup here, go up and around and board your boat. Now, head down and right around the central island, then go to the east section to find Pyre Shore. Dock the boat there and head up into Mount Pyre. Mount Pyre (Another World) -------------------------- When you enter Mount Pyre, you must realize that there is boiling hot lava in many areas. For each second your party is in that lava, you'll lose 10 HP, so make your trips into the lava QUICK! Anyway, from the start, go up into the lava and quickly go left and open the chest to get a MagmaBurst Element. Now, get back onto that platform you were on and use Capsules to recover your party's health. Now, use the Ice Breath to freeze the molten lava so you can walk freely across it. Then, head up the path to where it splits, and then head up the left path. At the top, go left and open the chest to get 5 Tablets. Now, continue up the path and climb up into the next area. Here, you'll enter yet another battle against Solt and Peppor. As in all your other encounters with these two guys, you seem to learn something new about Elements. This time, Solt and Peppor will demonstrate how to use a "Trap" Element, so pay attention. After their demonstration is over and Peppor attacks Solt, you'll be able to attack. Use regular attacks to fight each one separately. Be sure to use some Green Elements here and there to make the battle go a bit quicker. After you defeat one of them, just repeat the same process on the second one until this battle ends. Too bad you don't gain a Star Level from this fight. After the two guys run away, continue all the way up the path to the next area. There, go up to the lava and use Ice Breath to freeze it. Unless you wanted that Inferno Trap Element, you should just freeze this area. Anyway, head right to the end and open the chest at the end to get 5 more Tablets. Go left a tiny bit from there and go up the steps to the higher ledge, then open that chest to get 5 Capsules. Now, go back down the steps and head left and up the path all the way to the Record of Fate. Save your game, then continue into the next area. Here, go up and you'll see a giant creature stuck in a hole nearby. A small dragon will then run up and challenge you to a fight, which you automatically enter. Here, you'll be fighting the Firedragon (NOT the actual Fire Dragon god), so read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you beat it and gain the Star Level/better stats, continue up the path until someone stops you. The Dragoon Devas will appear in front of you (Karsh, Marcy, and Zoah). After a quick conversation, your party will enter another battle against all 3 of them. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating them. When you defeat the group, you'll gain the 15th Star Level, as well as some better stats for your current characters. After they run away, Harle will appear again as you try to move. She'll try to keep you from continuing on your journey, so just choose to keep going and she'll leave. Now, just go up and out of Mount Pyre. You'll also be able to view a VERY familiar FMV from the beginning area of the game. After the FMV ends, your party will be on the World Map in the center of the mountain areas. Now, just go around the middle structure and enter Fort Dragonia. Fort Dragonia (Another World) ----------------------------- When you enter this large and confusing fort, go up and around to the next area. (Note that you may have to fight a Dragoon here, if you didn't choose to save Kid earlier.) Here, go up across the really long bridge to the following room. In this new room, go left and save your game at the Record of Fate. Now, before you continue, you should notice that your party finally has their Level 5 Tech Skills, as well as a new Level 2 space on their grids (except Guile). Allocate the GravityBlow Element in Serge's new space on the grid, and the MagmaBomb Element in Leena's new space. Now, head right and enter the first door to the far right. Here, go right across the long bridge to the following area, and then keep going into the next room. In this puzzling room, there is a dragon statue facing in a certain direction. The dragon is facing to the north, even if it doesn't look like it, so if it's facing to the left, north is the left gap, east is the top gap, and so on. Press X by the statue and get through that puzzle so you fall in the left gap. There, go down and to the red crystal to fully replenish your party's Star Levels. After that, go up and left to the next area. Here, go left and up the ladder to the high ledge, then go right into the room with the dragon statue. This time, try to fall into the south pit to reach the next room. Here, walk around and open all 4 chests to get a Flame Charm, a FirePillar Element, a MagmaBurst Element, and a Volcano Trap Element. Replace the MagmaBomb allocated to Serge with the MagmaBurst one. Then, go left to the next area and climb up to the higher ledge, and then go right to the room with the dragon statue again. This time around, play the puzzle so you fall in the hole to the right and land in the room below. When you land in the room below, head right and up around the path to the red crystal, then go up to it and press X to deactivate it. After that, go down all the way to the bottom, and then go left to the next room. Here, just go left and climb up to the higher ledge, but this time, go left a couple screens back to that middle room with the Record of Fate. Here, go up and enter the second door from the right. Head up the bridge to the next area, then go up and left up the steps. Then, continue around the path to the next room. In this room, just follow the path all the way around, then follow the path down through the room to the very end. There, you can open a chest to get the Tornado Trap Element. Be sure to allocate it immediately to a party member because you'll need it soon! Now, go back around that path to the part where you can either go left or up, then choose to continue up. Go up the steps along the way and follow the path to the following area. Here, go down to the following room. Here, go down and open the chest to get an AeroBlaster Element. Now, go up to the previous room and go up the steps. G up to the higher ledge, then follow the path around to the next room. Follow the path until you reach a blue switch. Go up to the switch and press X to lower steps nearby to make access to the lower area much easier. Now, go down those new steps and right down the steps, and then go up into the next area. Head up and down the steps, then go right. Go right and down, then take the other path left and up the steps to the higher ledge. Open the chests to the left and right to get the Bushbasher and HealAll Elements. Now, go right down the steps and go up the path all the way left and down into the next area. Open the chest to get 4 Antidotes, then go back up to the previous area. Here, follow the path to the end and go down the steps, then go left through the upper pathway. Go left and up the steps, then go down to the next room. In this room, go down to the steps leading left, and go up them. Continue left up the next set of steps, then go left and up to the next room. Follow the path all the way up into the following room. Here, go up and you'll enter a fight against the giant Taurusoid. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you win the battle, you'll gain a Star Level, some better stats, and a new space on Serge and Leena's Element Grids! Now, go up to the green crystal's altar and press X to deactivate that crystal. Then, go back down and exit this room and continue all the way down into the following area. Here, head down and directly right, going down the two sets of steps. Then, just go down the path to the next room. Go all the way down that long bridge to the main area again. Here, save your game with the Record of Fate, then enter the upper-left room. Before you continue here, it's time to re-arrange/allocate a couple of Elements real quick. For Serge, just put the Gravitonne Element in his new Level 3 space. As for Leena, move the Upheaval Element she has in a Level 4 space down to that new Level 3 space. Then, put the MagmaBurst Element in the now free Level 4 space. Now that you're set up, head all the way up the path in the upper-left room you just entered to reach the following room. Head left around the room and you'll come across 2 chests next to each other. Open the bottom one to make the large platform swing around so you can walk on it. Now, go up and right along that platform, then go all the way right and up to 2 more chests. Don't do anything to the two chests here for now. Instead, just go up and around the wall and continue left and up to the end. Open the right chest to make a platform swing around in front of a door nearby. Now, go back down and right to the second group of chests, then go around the wall and continue all the way left into the next room. Go left and open the chest to get a Sea Charm, then exit the room. Go all the way right to the chests, then go up and left along the upper path to the chests at the end. Open the right chest and keep the left chest closed. Then, go right along the path to the next group of chests and open the right one and close the left one. Now, go back left and up to the end and walk around the wall. Now, go down and right along the middle platform, then down to the blue switch. Press X to lower a small staircase next to you for easy access. Now, enter the room next to you, but before you go anywhere else, you must change your Element lineup slightly. Allocate 5 Medicine Elements to 2 of your characters in the Level 2 slots (you should have the 10 I told you to buy early in the game). Now, continue up the path and towards the crystal. A giant blob-like creature will suddenly appear and you'll enter battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating this creature, known as GiantGloop. After you defeat it and gain another Star Level, as well as a couple more spaces on Serge's and Leena's Element Grids. Now, go up to the altar and press X to deactivate the blue crystal. Then, exit the room and go down the steps and down into the next area, then continue down the bridge to the main room. Go down and save your game at the Record of Fate right now. Before we continue, here's the list of what Elements should be allocated to each character in your party: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Uplift, Fireball, Cure, PhotonRay, GravityBlow (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, IceLance, Meteorite, AeroSaucer, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, RecoverAll, AquaBall, Dash&Slash (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MeteorShower, ElectroBolt, MagmaBurst (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall (Trap), Luminaire (Tech) Leena: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, Cure, Fireball, Uplift, GravityBlow, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, IceLance, Meteorite, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, PhotonBeam, AquaBall, MaidenHand (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) Upheaval, RecoverAll, AeroBlaster (Level 5 Elements) FrogPrince (Summon), MaidenHeart (Tech) Guile: (Level 1 Element) AquaBeam (Level 2 Element) IceLance (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Wandaln (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) Bushbasher, HealAll (Level 5 Elements) IceBlast, WandaSwords (Tech) Now, go left and enter the room you haven't yet entered. Head all the way left across the bridge and into the following room. Here, go down and left until you're able to go up, then head up and left. Continue until you can go up between the boundaries again, then go left and down and go up the steps to the higher level. Now, go left and up into the next room. In this room, go left and press X to read the inscription on the pedestal. Your party will be standing on 3 sets of footprints, and the game will tell you what order you're in. Say your party lineup is Serge, Leena, and Guile in that order, then the game says "head, tail, then body", it means Serge is considered the head, Leena the tail, and Guile the body. The order that your party is in when pressing X and stepping on those footprints affects the layout of the circular maze of a room you're in. There's also a bluish tile outside this room that'll slightly switch the order of two of your characters when you step on it. You can also change your lineup by pressing Select, but you can only get ALL the different orders by standing on that blue tile. Anyway, now that you know which character is what part, arrange your party so it's in the "body, tail, then head" lineup and step on those footprints. After the room shakes, exit the room and go down and around the steps. Continue up the other path and cross to the other platform where you can open a chest to get an Earth Chest. Now, get back to that room with the footprints and arrange your lineup so it's now "head, body, then tail". If you need to use that blue tile in order to get that arrangement, go ahead and do so. After you arrange your party like that, activate the footprints and exit the room. Now, go down and right across the block to the ledge with the blue switch. Press X by the switch to lower steps on the other side of the room. After that, go back down and left, then up to the footprint room. Press Select a couple times to rearrange your party so it's "tail, head, then body", and enter the footprint room and activate them. Exit this room and go down, then use the steps to get to the lower area and continue up and right. Continue along the path until you can go down, then go down and left and down in between the boundaries again. Head right and between the boundaries, then go down and left. Go down when you can, then go back right and up to the steps at the very end. Go up the steps and head left across that block, then open the chest to get an ElectroBolt Element. Next, backtrack all the way back to the room with the footprints. Rearrange your party so the order is "tail, body, then head" by using that blue tile if necessary. Then, go up to that pedestal in the room and press X to activate the footprints yet again. Now, exit the room and take the same path as you did before when you got the ElectroBolt Element. This time, when you go up that set of steps, follow the path down to the block. Go up across the block and go left, and then press X by the wall panel to lower the middle area with the yellow crystal. Now, go back right and up, then right down those steps again. Then, just follow the path down and left until you can go up. Go up and right, then up again to the yellow crystal. Go up to it and press X to deactivate it. You'll then see a middle platform rise in the room with the Record of Fate. So, go back down and right and up through this room, then continue right all the way out of this room completely. Go right across the bridge to the next room, then save your game here. Now, go up to the closed door in that middle wall to enter the next room. Walk up to the crystal and a creepy looking sun creature will come down and enter battle against you. Find out how to beat SunOfAGun by reading the Bosses section of this guide. After you beat it, you'll gain a Star Level, as well as your party's first Level 6 Element spaces! I'd keep them empty for the time being until you obtain much stronger Elements. Now, go up to the altar and press X to deactivate the white crystal. After that, an elevator will lower in the room. Go around and choose to go up on the elevator and you'll be brought up to the next floor. This place is that "Dream Dungeon" you started in at the beginning of the game, so it should be familiar to you. When you arrive here, go down and right through the hallway to the next room. Go down and right when you can, then go down around the middle platform and open the chest to get a Capsule Element. Now, go back up and continue left up the steps, and then go down the hall to the steps. Go down the steps and head down into the next room. Here, go left up the stairs to reach the following room. Go right a tiny bit, and then go straight down the steps into another room. Go left and up to a chest containing the MeteorShower Element, then allocate it to Guile's Level 6 space in his Element Grid. Now, follow the path all the way right to the end, then enter that room. Open the chest to get an Angel Charm, then go back to the previous room and go left through the other door back to the room before that one. This time, go up and left all the way around this path, then go up the second set of steps to the right. Defeat the guard and open the chest to get a Daemon Charm. Then, go back down the steps and go up into the next room. In this room, go up and you'll encounter a giant creature known as Bunyip. You will then enter a boss battle against this creature, so read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you win and gain that Star Level (I'm assuming you also trapped that FreeFall Element as well), go up to the altar and press X to deactivate the black crystal. Now, leave this room and follow the path down to the second set of steps. Then, go right up the steps and follow the path up and left onto the round platform. At that point, press X to be warped up to a much higher area, as you did in the beginning of the game. When you get there, go up and press X to view a FMV, then the door will open and your group will enter. Here, Lynx and General Viper will confront you again. You will then enter a boss battle against Gen. Viper, so read the Bosses section to find out how to beat him. After you beat Viper, your party will gain its 20th Star Level! After that, Lynx will kill Viper and enter another boss battle against you! Read the Bosses section again to get help on defeating Lynx. Then, after you win and gain another Star Level and better stats, Lynx will continue to taunt you. Kid will then appear and yell at Lynx. Lynx will make a long speech and Serge will see the Frozen Flame, which will cause him to freak out. After that, Kid will go after Lynx and another battle will begin. This time around, you are controlling Lynx and you're fighting against your party! You cannot really win this battle, so just play along until you (Lynx) are defeated. After that, Serge will end up becoming evil and will severely wound Kid. He'll defeat the other 2 party members, and then you will be warped away as Lynx. Dimensional Vortex ------------------ When Lynx reappears, you will be in the Dimensional Vortex between worlds. So, head down and left around the path, then go up the nearby ladder to the hut. You cannot enter the hut for now, so take the right path up to the next ledge. Then, go right onto a branch to shake a berry out to the ground below. At this point, an old lady will QUICKLY run out and try to collect the berry. During that quick period of time, go left down the path and enter the now-open hut. When you enter, the old lady named Sprigg will catch you. After she talks for a moment and then goes up to sleep, you will get some rest. After you gain control of Lynx again, go right and climb down the ladder to the lower floor. Here, save your game with the Record of Fate. After that, go back up the ladder into Sprigg's house, then head left as if you're exiting the house. Sprigg will wake up and automatically join your party. Sprigg has only two empty Element spaces in her grid, but they're the Level 5 and 6 spots, so just wait until later to equip her with some Elements. Anyway, exit the house and go up the right path, then continue up and right through the tunnel passage. At the higher ledge, go left and up the next path to the higher area, then go all the way around to the other side of the tower. Before you enter, continue to the boulder at the edge of the cliff and push it down to the lower ledge. Now, go back around and down to the lower area and go left around the waterfall to the boulder. Push it downward again and it'll fall again, knocking the other boulder out of the way. So, go back around the waterfall and then go down through the tunnel passage to the lower ledge. Just continue down the narrow path to Sprigg's hut, but instead of entering the hut, continue up the left path and open the chest to get a Revive Element. Now, it's time to backtrack all the way back up to that top ledge by the tower. Once you get up to that point, get to the left side of the area and go right across the bridge to the tower's entrance. Press X at the door to enter the tower. Once inside, you'll encounter Harle and she'll talk to you since she knows you as Lynx. During the conversation, just pick any old options as an answer. After a while, she'll transform into Serge and stand on the higher ledge. Then, he'll walk into one of the doors to the left, right, south, or north of you. Enter the same door on your level as "Serge" did on the higher level and you'll reach the higher ledge. Repeat the same process by entering the same door on your ledge as Serge does on the lower/higher ledge until you end up in a different area. Harle will then finally choose to join your party when you arrive here. Now that you have 3 party members again, it's time to allocate your Elements to them. Lynx: (Level 1 Elements) GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Cure, Revive, Uplift Bushwhacker (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, Meteorite ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Upheaval, GlideHook (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBurst, ElectroBolt, Bushbasher (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, PhotonBeam, FeralCats (Tech) (Level 6 Element) MeteorShower Sprigg: (Level 5 Elements) HealAll, Doppelgang (Tech) (Level 6 Element) MeteorShower Harle: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, GravityBlow, PhotonRay, Bushwhacker, AquaBeam (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Meteorite ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) RecoverAll, AquaBall, Gravitonne, MoonBeams (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBurst, AeroBlaster, ElectroBolt (Level 5 Elements) PhotonBeam, Bushbasher, MoonShine (Tech) (Level 6 Element) none (don't put anything in this space for now) Now that your Elements are now allocated to your new party, head down and around the path to the lever. For now, take the path going down to the left of the lever. Follow this path down until you can go down and left, then head down and to the left. In the open area, get to the left and follow that path left and down to a chest containing Mythril. Then, backtrack all the way back to that lever on the highest ledge and press X to turn it to the right. Now, go left and down the path all the way to the right. Open the chest in this area to get more Mythril, then follow the path down to the end. Go right at the intersection and open that chest to get the Pendragon Sigil C. While we're here, be sure to equip the Dragoon Gauntlet accessory on Lynx to improve his attacking power. Now, go back left and up to the more open area, then go up and left along the other path to the end. At that point, go up and right and press X to switch the lever to the left again. Then, go back left, down, right, then down again through this area. Continue going straight down to the end, then go right down the stairs. Follow the path right and up, then go right and down around the path to a round hole in the floor. There, press X and your group will be warped to the Hydra Marshes in the Home World. Hydra Marshes (Home World) -------------------------- When you arrive, Sprigg will be really happy to be in the real world again. After a bit of talking, head left, then go up the yellowish hill and open the chest at the top to get a Cure Element. After that, go right and down into the next area. Here, go down and walk up the log to reach the dry ledge, then continue down and right through the area. Go down onto the dry path when you reach it and follow it out of Hydra Marshes. On the World Map, head west all the way past Arni Village, then continue down to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter Opassa Beach, go left to where that green wormhole would be and use the Astral Amulet. The wormhole has disappeared and Sprigg suggests you go ask your "mother" about what happened. So, leave Opassa Beach and head up and right into Arni Village. Arni Village (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter Arni Village with Lynx and his group, the villager at the entrance will freak out at the sight of you. Anyway, just go up and left into the left hut, which is Serge's house. Go left and talk to Marge to hear a story about Serge and Leena's fathers. After the story, Radius will enter the house and challenge Lynx and his party to a fight. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Radius. After you beat him, he'll join your group, so replace Sprigg with Radius since he's much stronger and can use many more Elements at once. Radius will then suggest heading to Termina, so leave Serge's house when you gain control again. Then, head right and down to exit Arni Village. On the World Map, head north of Arni Village to enter the Fossil Valley. Fossil Valley (Home World) -------------------------- From where you enter this valley, go up and you'll hear a couple of guards. After they leave, continue up and left around the bend. Go down and left, then up the first upward path you see. Follow it up and climb the ladder to the next area. Here, go straight up all the way past that giant skull to find a chest. Open it to get the Infrared Vision Frame. Now, head back down and follow the path left to the end. Then, follow the path all the way up to the end and open the chest to get some Mythril. After that, go all the way down the path to the end by the white path, then climb down to the next area. Here, defeat the giant Dodo that's hopping around, then open the chest to get Mythril. Next, climb up that white wall to the previous area, then follow the path all the way right to the end. Then, just go down and climb the ladder down to the next area. There, go down and follow the path all the way up and left out of Fossil Valley. Back at the World Map, go up and left and enter the city of Termina. Termina (Home World) -------------------- As soon as you enter Termina, you'll find that soldiers are around patrolling the entire town. An angry person will yell at Lynx for entering town, but it's nothing to worry about. Just go straight up the path and go right to enter Lisa's Element Shop. Here, buy 3 of the IceBlast, AeroBlaster, and FirePillar Elements. After that, exit the shop and go right to the next area. Here, just go up the path heading north to the following area. In this area, go up and enter the first building you come across. Enter Zappa's Smithy and go left behind the counter to find Zappa and Zippa in the corner talking. After they're done, press Select to get Radius in front of your party, then talk to Zappa. Choose to let him join and he'll give you the Smith Spirit, which will let you forge items anywhere on the World Map! Don't put Zappa in your current party for now, though. Now, go down into the back room of the shop and talk to the guy there. You'll find out that he's now an Element Trader and will trade you Items you can forge things with for Elements. Don't trade anything for now; instead just continue down to get outside again. Now, head down through the fence to the main path and follow it down to the next area. Go down and left into the following area, then continue left and talk to the guard in the path. He won't let you pass, but he'll tell you to go to Viper Manor and find Commander Norris right away. So, go right and down the steps, then enter the Inn. Here, go to the Record of Fate and use the Smith Spirit item to be able to forge/disassemble stuff. For now, buy a Silver Swallow, 2 Mythril Mails, and 3 Mythril Helmets. Now, equip all that stuff onto your current party (Lynx, Radius, Harle). Then, use the Smith Spirit again and disassemble all the old equipment for the spare parts. Also, it's time to reallocate your Elements like so: Lynx: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Cure, Revive, Uplift (leave last slot empty) (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, GravityBlow, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Upheaval, GlideHook (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBurst, ElectroBolt, IceBlast (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, PhotonBeam, FeralCats (Tech) (Level 6 Element) MeteorShower Radius: (Level 1 Elements) Cure, GravityBlow, Uplift, Bushwhacker, PhotonRay, Fireball, AquaBeam (leave last slot empty) (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, MagmaBomb, GravityBlow, IceLance, ElectroJolt, Meteorite (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, FirePillar, Gravitonne, LongShot (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) HealAll, ElectroBolt, AeroBlaster (Level 5 Elements) IceBlast, MagmaBurst, QuickDraw (Tech) (Level 6 Element) MeteorShower Harle: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, GravityBlow, PhotonRay, Bushwhacker, AquaBeam (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Meteorite, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) RecoverAll, AquaBall, Gravitonne, MoonBeams (Tech) (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBurst, AeroBlaster, ElectroBolt (Level 5 Elements) PhotonBeam, Bushbasher, MoonShine (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) (leave both theses slots empty) After you're done there, save your game and exit the Inn. Go left and up the steps, then enter Lisa's Element Shop again. Inside, go through the door to the right to enter the back room. Here, go up and left and Lisa will come in and tell you her father is in the forest gathering mushrooms. Since the only forest around is the Shadow Forest, it's time to head there before anyplace else! Exit this room and continue out of Lisa's Shop, then go down the steps to leave Termina. When you appear on the World Map again, go right and across the bridge over the small canal. At the other side, continue right and into Shadow Forest. Shadow Forest (Home World) -------------------------- When you enter Shadow Forest, go left and defeat the easy enemies in the area. Then, continue left into the next area. Here, follow the path up a small bit, and then walk up onto the higher ledges directly north of you to reach the top. There, open the chest to get 5 Capsules. Now, walk back down to the ground and continue up and left along the path to the end. Open the chest at the end of the path to get Mythril. Now, go all the way back right and down to the entrance of this area, then follow the path down and left this time. When you reach the water section, follow the land path down and left, then up to the next area. In this area, head down and left across the narrow path. At the end, go down to the bottom of the screen and follow the path left into the water. Then, go up through the waterfall to enter a hidden room. Go up and talk to the man sitting there, and he'll offer to give you the treasure if you bring him a Mushroom. So, leave this room and head left to the dry land. Then, just follow the path left into the next area. Here, go up into the water and get to the upper-right area of the room to find an underwater chest. Open it to get a Carnivore Trap Element. Defeat the enemies in the area, then continue up into the next area. Here, defeat all of the easy enemies roaming the area, and then continue north along the path to the following room. Here, go up and take the left path onto the ledge of dry land. Go up and press X to fight the Wraith blocking the hole. Defeat it, then the father that was trapped in that hole will come out and reward you with a Mushroom. Now, head all the way back down through the next couple of rooms to exit that giant tree. Continue down through the large pond and onto the dry land, then go down into the following area. In this area, go down and right through the water to reach the waterfall, then enter the room behind the waterfall. Go up and talk to that guy again and accept the deal he makes with you. He'll turn into a mushroom after eating the mushroom you gave him, then he'll be known as Funguy and join your party. Don't put him in your current party, though. Now, open that chest you couldn't open before to get a Forest Charm. Now, go down and out of this cave and head left onto the dry land. Now, go up and right along that narrow ledge, then continue up and right to the next area. Go down and right through this area while staying on the dry land. Just follow the path of dry land all the way to the right side of the room, then go up and right to the next area. In this area, simply head all the way right and you'll be out of the Shadow Forest. Back on the World Map, head left across the bridge, then go up and enter Viper Manor. Viper Manor (Home World) ------------------------ When you enter Viper Manor, just go up past the guards since they won't do anything, and continue to the next area. Here, go right and Radius will talk for a moment. After that, go down the path to find a guard standing next to a well. Press X to go down the well, then when you get there, go down and right through a hidden tunnel. At the other side, go up the hill to the left and continue up through the sewer to the next area. Continue all the way up through the sewer tunnel and you'll end up in the basement of Viper Manor. Here, go up and left, then down and left through the water. Go left up the steps onto the platform and go up and right. Then, go up and left around the two pillars to reach the chest. Open it to get a Mythril Helmet. Now, go back around the pillars and follow the path down and left. Go back down those steps into the water and follow the path all the way right and up through this room. When the path splits, go right and continue all the way around the watery path until you reach another platform with a guard to the left. Go up those steps and climb up the ladder to enter the prison. When you emerge here, go right and up through the now open gate. Then, continue all the way right and enter the last door to find Sir Norris. After a long talk and explanation about what to do next, Norris will join your party. After that, you'll end up in Termina. There, just go left and press X by the boat to climb aboard and leave the area with a new boat! When you end up on the larger World Map with a new boat, head south past the Water Dragon Isle and you'll see 3 large rocks in the form of a triangle. There is a light section of water in the middle of that triangle, which is known as the El Nido Triangle. Go to that middle area and press X to enter the El Nido Triangle. El Nido Triangle (Home World) ----------------------------- When you enter this area, your group will still be on the boat. Just head up to that light area in the middle and choose to go in. You will now be in a completely underwater area. The enemies here are pretty easy, and you gain high amounts of money after beating them. Anyway, head right and up through the area. Get to the upper-right area of this room and open the chest to get Mythril. Then, go left along the path and climb down into the next area. In this room, follow the path all the way down and right, then up to a chest. Open it to get some more Mythril, then go all the way back around the path to the entrance of this area. Now, take the path going right to reach the center of the room. When you get there, open the chest to get a Star Fragment. Now, follow that path back to the ladder and climb up to the previous area. There, go around the path and continue right and down when the path splits. Go all the way down to the bottom path and go left to the ladder, then climb it to get outside again to your boat. Now, just move off the screen to exit the area completely. Back on the World Map, head north and west to a crescent-shaped island known as Sky Dragon Isle. Dock your boat at its shore and go into the island itself. Sky Dragon Isle (Home World) ---------------------------- When you arrive at this island, go left and up the steps to an area where tourists are wandering around. Talk to them if you feel like it, otherwise go up the steps to the next area. Go all the way up this long set of steps to the very top to reach the next area. Talk to the guy standing nearby, then go up and try to open the chest in the center of the area. Suddenly, a giant alien known as MegaStarky will appear and demand you give it the Star Fragment, then you'll enter battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating MegaStarky. After you beat it, it'll become its normal size as a small alien, then start running around the area. Chase it around, and then press X to catch it. After that, Starky will join your party, but don't put it in your group for now. Now, talk to the guy standing nearby to get the "Our Favorite Martian" Frame. Then, go back down to the next area. Run all the way down the long set of steps to the following area, and then take the right path to the World Map again. Back on the World Map, head east to the large island where Termina is located. Then, head north from there and dock the boat at the Earth Dragon Isle's shore. From there, just walk into the Earth Dragon Isle. Earth Dragon Isle (Home World) ------------------------------ When you enter this area, go up a tiny bit, then right up the steps. Open the chest at the top to get 5 Capsules, then get back down and continue all the way up the path to a flat bed of sand. A man standing on the ledge above you will warn you that it's quicksand. So, walk into the center of the quicksand to be sucked into the cave below. When you land, run to the right as soon as you land to drop down onto the right ledge. Then, go down the ladder and defeat the Fossicker in your way. After that, open the chest to get Mythril. Now, go back up and take the other path right. Drop off the edge to land near a hole below, and then go down the ladders to the sandy floor. There, go left and onto the dry ledge, where you'll find a giant obstacle in the way. Press X and your group will be unable to budge it. So, head back right and up the 2 ladders to a higher ledge. Face the hole and press X to be shot out of the sand boil to the surface of the isle. When you arrive at the surface, the captain nearby will talk to you for a moment. After he's done, go all the way left and down the ladder, then go up into the quicksand again. This time, move to the left and drop down the first two sand waterfalls. Then, open the chest on the ledge to get Mythril. Now, drop down the next sandy fall to the ground. There, go right and up the two ladders to the sand boil hole. Press X and jump in to reach the surface again. Now, go left and down the ladder, then continue down to exit this area completely. Now, get back on your boat and head south to the El Nido Triangle area. Then, go east to another island and dock your boat at the Marbule shore. After that, just walk up and left into the town of Marbule. Marbule (Home World) -------------------- In this deserted town, you'll find that there are ghosts of demi-humans walking around. They won't do anything to you, so don't worry. Anyway, when you enter this village, go up and talk to the man known as "The Great Explorer Toma" and ask him about everything. After you're done talking to him, go down and enter that hut, then choose to rest for the night. In the night, you'll hear voices outside and get the option to check it out or just ignore it. Choose to check it out, then go up and right to find a mermaid standing on the bridge. Approach her and she'll jump into the water and swim away. After that, the Great Explorer Toma will come and tell you about the mermaid. You will then walk back to the hut, but the mermaid will overhear the conversation. In the morning, exit the hut and the mermaid will call you from the water below. She'll ask you to go with her to the S.S. Zelbess, then swim off the screen. Follow her by going down and out of Marbule. On the World Map, go down and board your boat, then go up and around the island of Marbule. Then, head north and through the water current pushing to the northwest. You will then see the S.S. Zelbess docked along the northeast coast of the large continent. Save your game, then press X to enter the S.S. Zelbess. S.S. Zelbess (Home World) ------------------------- After you board the S.S. Zelbess, head right and up the steps, then continue up all the ladders and steps to reach the top deck. On this deck, feel free to talk to any people lounging around. After you're done here, go right to the far side of the deck and go down the other steps to get inside the ship. There, go left and enter the first door you come across. In that room, go up and talk to the young woman by the balcony. She'll introduce herself as Miki, the dancer in Nikki's performance. When she asks if you're Nikki's fans pick either answer (I picked yes) and she'll talk some more. After she leaves, go down and exit this room. Continue left down the hallway to the end, and then enter the top door to reach the captain's room. You'll walk in on a conversation between Fargo and Irenes, the mermaid. After Irenes leaves, go up to Fargo and talk to him and he'll tell you to enjoy your stay on his ship. After that, leave this room and go right to the ladder going down, then climb it to reach the lower floor. There, go all the way right down the hallway and enter the last door by the guy in your way. In this room, an old man will ask for you to let him pass. Pick either option because it doesn't matter, then after he leaves, exit the room as well. After the short conversation with the guard, go left and enter the door to the right of the ladder. In that room, go up and you'll see a magic show by Sneff. Some guy in the audience will complain and Sneff will turn him into a cat! After he turns him back to a human and Sneff walks offstage, leave this room. Head left and up the ladder to the other floor, then go left and up the steps to Fargo's cabin. Go up and talk to him, and he'll ask you to try your luck against him at the casino. Agree to challenge him, then after he leaves the room, go down and out as well. Go down the steps next to you, then go left down more steps and enter the casino. Here, Fargo will mock Sneff until he leaves, then Fargo will make the rest of the people in the casino leave. Now, you'll have to play a game, which involves a spinning compass and you have to stop the pointer anywhere but on the South mark. If you do, you lose and Fargo takes your boat. To advance the story, just play along until you lose, then Fargo will leave. Now, exit this room and go right to that ladder again. Climb down it to the lower floor and head left to enter the Inn. Your group will realize that Fargo's casino is on the above floor and they sense something fishy is going on. Then, go right and save your game at the Record of Fate. After that, leave the Inn and go right and enter the next room you come across, which is the bar where Sneff performs. Go up and when the show starts, volunteer in his magic trick and he'll turn your party into cats! Sneff will then strain his back and the scene will shift to the back room of the bar. Since Sneff cannot turn you back into humans for now, go down and left through that path to the next room. Back in the bar, go down and exit this room as well. Go left and enter the Inn again, then go left under the counter and up the ladder. Here, you'll see the innkeeper operating a giant magnet, which is rigging that compass game directly above you. After the innkeeper goes and sits down, go up to the shiny piece of the magnet to get the Handle. Now, go back down the ladder to the Inn and go right under the counter, then exit the Inn. Go right and up the ladder to the next floor and go right to the first door, which is the kitchen. Since the door is locked, enter through the small hole to the right of the door. In the kitchen, go up and open the large chest in the corner to get a Frypan Ag47. Talk to the other cat wandering around and it'll give you the Monster Mouth Frame. Then, just exit this room the same way you came, and go down the nearby ladder to the bottom floor again. Go right and enter the bar, then go right through that small hole to enter the dressing room. Talk to Sneff and he'll transform your group back to their original form. Now, go down and out the regular way and go left up the ladder yet again. Then, go left and up the steps to Fargo's cabin. Here, you'll witness a conversation between Fargo and Nikki, the ship's entertainment. After they're done talking and Nikki leaves, go up and talk to Fargo and challenge him again at the compass game. When Fargo leaves the room, follow him out, and then go down both sets of steps to the casino below. Fargo will go first this time and will lose on the first shot. He'll then allow you to enter the Grand Slam and give you your boat back, and then he'll leave. You can stay and continue playing the compass game, or you can exit the room as well. If you choose to stay to play the compass game, here's a quick tip on winning every time. Keep pressing Start to pause the game, then keep doing that until you pause the game with the pointer just slightly past the South mark. At that point, hit Start again to resume the game and press X IMMEDIATELY after you press Start and the pointer will almost always land on the North spot. Here's a list of prizes you can win for playing this game: Points Prize ------ ----- 500-950 Bone 1000-4950 Iron 5000-9950 Mythril 10,000+ Rainbow Shell (Denadorite if you already won the Rainbow Shell) In my game, I played this game and won the Rainbow Shell AND a Denadorite at this point in the game. I'd prefer you have done things like I just did, but if you didn't I guess you shouldn't worry too much about it. After you're done here, exit the bar and go right down the nearby ladder to the lower level. Then, go all the way right and talk to the guy in the way to be given access to the Grand Slam. Now, just go right into the next room. Here, go right and down through one of the paths to get outside. You'll see the old man walking back inside the ship through another of the holes. Follow him through the same hole back inside and you'll see him go through another path to get outside. Keep following him until he confronts you. Ask him about the Dead Sea, then choose to use brute force and you'll enter a boss battle against the Sage. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating this boss. After you win and gain a Star Level, the Sage will realize you're serious about the Dead Sea and he'll give you the Fiddler Crab. Nikki will then appear and try asking the Sage to teach him the song of Marbule. The Sage will just ignore him and walk off, and Nikki will follow him. As for you, head down the nearby ladder to enter the Grand Slam. There, go left and up around to the guy standing at the gate. Talk to him and choose to fight in the Grand Slam against Janice if you want. I recommend not to since you will not have good enough monsters to fight with. To get monsters, you'd need to find the Forget-Me-Not Pot later in the game and equip it on Sprigg, then have her Doppelgang monsters and defeat them to gain their form for this type of contest. Here's a quick list of what you can win if you took part in this fight: Round Prize ----- ----- 1 Stamina Belt 2 Resistance Belt 3 Dreamer's Scarf Since there really isn't anything of interest here, just go back up that ladder to exit the Grand Slam. Then, go left up the steps to the next room and open the door in front of you, then continue left to the ladder. Climb up that ladder to reach the upper floor, then continue all the way right to the very end. Go up the steps at the end to reach the top deck of this ship. Go all the way to the left side of the ship and climb that huge pole to a platform at the top. Talk to the guy there and choose to hop onto the pulley, which will bring you to Nikki's ship. There, enter the bottom door and there will be a discussion with Nikki about getting rid of the monsters in Marbule. Choose to help Nikki with this task. After the long talk, Irenes the mermaid will offer to join your group, so let her join but don't put her into your current party yet. After this, leave the room and ride that pulley back to the S.S. Zelbess. When you arrive, climb down the pole and go right across the deck. Then, go down the steps along the side of the ship. Continue down the steps and the ladders to reach your boat, and then press X to leave the S.S. Zelbess. Back on the World Map, head northeast around the Hermit's Hideaway island. Then, go south and east right below that area with the large circular clouds. When you see the Dead Sea title pop up in purple, use the Fiddler Crab from the Key Items menu and a section of the mountain surrounding it will disappear. Then, go up and enter Death's Door. Death's Door (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter this area, simply go up and you'll find the evil sword, Masamune, in the way. After your group realizes that they can't pass through here because of the sword, Radius will explain that you need the Einlanzer sword to break the Masamune's seal. He also says that you're going to need an item from a hut in which him and Garai used to train in. So, go back down and onto your boat to exit the area. Now, head north and dock at the shore of Hermit's Hideaway, then just walk up and enter that hideaway. Hermit's Hideaway (Home World) ----------------------------- When you arrive here, Radius will have a flashback from when he and Garai used to train. After he talks for a while longer, he'll leave the party and enter his hut for a moment. Wait around for him to come back, then talk to him again to get Garai's Keepsake. After the group automatically exits this area, just re-enter the area and go up into Radius's hut. Inside the hut, go left and up onto a branch leading out the window. Open the chest there to get a Resistance Ring. Then, climb the nearby ladder and open the chest up there to get an Energizer Suit. Now, exit the hut and climb down the ladder, and then continue down and out of Hermit's Hideaway. On the World Map again, go down the path and onto your boat. Then, head west around the island and continue to Guldove, which is the town on the island north of Sky Dragon Isle. Dock your boat at Guldove. Guldove (Home World) -------------------- When you enter Guldove head straight to the left to reach the next area. There, go up and left and climb the nearby ladder to reach the upper level. Then, enter the hut to the right. Talk to the Element merchant and she'll have many more Elements in stock for you, which are listed in the Shops section. Here, buy a RecoverAll and 2 Purify Elements. Now, leave the shop and climb down the nearby ladder. Go down and right to the previous area, then continue all the way right and get back on your boat to leave Guldove. Back on the World Map, head east around the island of Guldove, then go east along the north shore of the main continent. After you pass the S.S. Zelbess, go up and right, then continue right to a pink-colored island known as the Isle of the Damned. Dock your boat at its shore when you get there. After you dock, remove all of Radius' Elements, and then use the Tele-Porter to replace Radius with Norris. Then, use the Smith Spirit and forge Norris an Argent Gun, a Mythril Mail, and a Mythril Helmet. Equip those things on him and disassemble the old equipment. Also, if you have a spare Dragoon Gauntlet, equip Norris with it as well. Isle of the Damned (Home World) ------------------------------- When you enter this area, go up and right along the path. Go up the 3 small ramps to the top ledge, then follow the path right and down and left through the room. When you reach the fiery enemy, defeat it and its cohorts to make it explode and open the doorway in front of you. Before going through it, head back right and up around the path to find another fiery enemy. Get it to follow you, then walk to the left by the other blocked door and fight it there. After you win, go through the hole in the wall that appears after you defeat that enemy, then press X inside to get the Earthquake Element. When the third fiery enemy appears nearby, get it to follow you, then go down the 3 ramps and continue down the path to the southeast corner of the room. Go right to a blocked off room and defeat the fiery enemy at that point. When it explodes after you beat it, enter that new room and press X to get Carapace. Next, go left and up the path and go up those 3 ramps again. Then, follow the path right and down and left into the next room. Here, go up the path and defeat any enemies in your way. Continue up the path, then go left underneath the giant bone. Walk down the path underneath the giant bone to the next area. Here, go up to the mirror and use Garai's Keepsake from the Key Items menu to be able to walk through the mirror. So, just walk up through to the next room. Here, go up and left along the path, making sure to get that fiery enemy to follow you here. Head left and down, then take the first path left past the orange doorway. Climb down the ladder, then fight the fiery enemy in front of the wall to the left. After you win, go through the hole that the explosion creates and collect the Inferno Element! Be sure to place it in one of Harle's Level 6 Element slots as soon as possible. Now, climb back up the ladder and go all the way left. Walk up the bones to the next ledge and head up and right to find another fiery enemy. Get it to follow you and head left and straight down the path this time. Go right to find an empty suit of armor, then fight the fiery enemy there. Defeat it, then fight the creature that the body armor turns into. After you collect the Golden Tiara from this battle, go back left and up to the next path going right. Take that path and enter the orange door to the next room. Go up and press X at the tombstone to see your party's names listed on it. Radius will then appear and have another flashback. After a bit of explaining, the ghost of Garai will appear and your group will have to fight him to gain the Einlanzer sword. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Garai. After you win and gain that VERY well-earned Star Level, you'll receive the Einlanzer sword. When Radius leaves, follow him down and to the next area. Go left and up to the other ledge, then follow the path right and down to the following area. Here, go down and left to the next area. Walk up to the end of the giant bone, then go right and down the other path to the next area. In this area, go right and up, then left to the ramps. Go down those 3 ramps to the bottom level and go left and down out of the Isle of the Damned. On the World Map again, get on your boat nearby and head south to Death's Door again. Death's Door (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter this area, go right and save your game at the Record of Fate. Then, continue up the path to reach the Masamune. This time, Radius will use the Einlanzer to make the evil sword disappear. After that, continue up the path and enter the Dead Sea. Dead Sea (Home World) --------------------- When you enter this dead area, head up the middle path over the frozen water. At the end of that path, open the chest to get an AntiRed Element. Then, go back down and right to the greenish crystal and enter the Highway Ruins. When you enter this area, go up the ladder in front of you to the next platform. Go all the way right, then down a chest containing 5 Capsules. Then, go back up to the steps and go down to the ground again. This time, go left and up the path to the next area. There, go up the nearby steps to reach the lower highway section. Go right down the road and open the chest to get a Screw. Go back left to the end, then go up and climb the bluish ladder against the blue wall. Here, go around and left onto the balcony above you and open the chest there to get another Screw. Now, go right across the bridge, then down the steps at the end. At the bottom, go left and up to another chest that has a Mythril inside. Now, go straight down the road to the next area. Here, continue down the highway to where it ends, and then open the chest there to get a FreeFall Element. Allocate that Element into Harle's other Level 6 Element slot right away. After you open the chest, the ledge you're on will collapse and you'll land on the ground below. Now, go up the stairs in front of you and follow the path up to the next area. Continue up the path to a giant mechanical creature you'll have to defeat in order to pass. Go up to it and you'll enter battle against the Highwayman. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating it. After you beat it, you'll gain another well-earned Star Level, some more slots on your party's Element grids, and Harle will receive her Level 7 Tech Skill. Now, continue up the long road to exit the Highway Ruins. Now, continue up the path of frozen water until you reach a path branching off of the main one. Go down and open the chest to get an AntiBlue Element. Then, go right and up and continue all the way left to another chest. Open it to get an AntiYellow Element. Now, go right to that green crystal you passed and press X in front of it to enter the City Ruins. When you enter the City Ruins, head along the path to the right and open the chest there to get a Resistance Belt. Equip this accessory on Lynx at once. Then, go back left and continue down to the next path going right. Take that path and enter the room at the end, then press X to get the Kung-fu Shoes. Now, head back left to the middle path and go down the path to the very end. At that point, go left and up to another chest containing a Stamina Ring. Then, go back down and right and go up the path to the first path you come across leading to the left. Take that path and climb up the ladder next to the building to enter the control tower. Here, go up and press X at the giant computer. Norris will take care of something with the computer, which will give your party information regarding a creature known as Lavos. Before you leave this room, go left to the wall and go down to find a semi-hidden chest. Open it to get an Earring of Light, then exit this room. Climb back down the ladder and continue right and then down the middle path to exit this area completely. Back in the Dead Sea map, go down and left to another path, then go down it to a chest. Open it to get an AntiGreen Element. Then, go back up and right to the other path and take it down to the end. Save your game, then press X at the green crystal to enter the Tower of Geddon. When you enter this area, your party will make a couple of quick comments. When you are able to move your characters, go up the hall and then walk up the stairs to the higher ledge. On the first floor, go all the way left around the room to a chest at the other side. Open it to get a Feather, then go back to the middle area of the room by the stairs. Go up to the next floor and head left to the elevator at the end of that path. Press X and make the elevator go down to 1F. Now, go back right and down the steps to the ground floor. There, go left to the elevator and open the chest inside to get a Trashy Tiara. Now, go back up the steps to the top floor and take the path all the way right and down this time. At the very end of the path, open the chest to get Mythril. Next, go back around to the steps and walk down to the floor below. Then, go right and enter the next room. In this room, go up until you can go right around the wall. Then, go right and down to find a transparent creature standing there. Talk to it, then follow it to wherever it disappears. Go up the steps where it disappears until a message appears telling you something's on the ground. At that point, press X to get a Station Pass. Now, go back right and down to the steps, then walk up to the higher ledge. On the higher ledge, go up and right around the wall, then come back down and open a chest containing a Purify Element. Now, head up along the right side of this path until it turns, then go left. Go up the path and through the turnstiles and you'll see a small ramp leading to a ledge to the right. Go down that ramp and open the chest on the ledge to get a HolyLight Element. Then, go left to the main ledge and continue to the next room. In this room, go down and open the chest to get the Medical Book. Then, exit this room the same way you came. Now, go back down through the turnstiles and continue straight down through the vent duct. When you reach the bottom of that slide, continue down the path to the next room. Here, go left to the stairs and walk up to the top floor. Then, go left and through the large hole to reach the next room. In this room, go left and down the short incline, where you'll see a ghostly child appear and run away. As a quick notice, you'll see that there are blob-like creatures roaming around in this area. Be sure to encounter each one because before the battle starts, each one will tell you what Element it has. I only brought that fact up in case you had some good Trap Elements available and you wish to allocate them for just this area. Anyway, go left and up the second path going up that you come across. Take the path up and left, then around to a chest on a higher ledge that contains a Feather. Now, go back around and down the path to the ground level and go right, then up the other path. Follow this path all the way up and to the left. Go all the way left along the path, and then go down and around the bend to find another chest. Open it to get a HealAll Element, then go back around the bend and right along the path. Go up when you can, then go right and up into the grassy area. Go left and up the path, then go around to the left and press X to get the Prop Sword. Now, get back around and down to exit this park area, and then go right and down to a chest containing a CurePlus Element. Then, go all the way left along the path to the next room. Here, go along the twisting path to the center platform, where you will see a child running on a higher balcony. After that, go on the left path and climb up the ladder to the higher ledge. There, go all the way right to the end and open the chest there to get a SealAll Element. Now, head all the way left to the ladder and climb down to the lower ledge. Then, go right up the path to the middle area and go up the north path to reach the next area. Here, go up and Norris will realize that the missing Dragoons were held captive here, but are now dead. The ghostly girl will appear and leave again. After that, go left and up the straight path separate from the zigzag path. Then, go left and down to a chest, which contains a Diminish Element inside. Now, go back up and right, then down to the beginning of the area. Then, go right and start to go up and around the zigzag path. Your party will make sure that Serge/Lynx is all right along the way. Then, continue up the path and through the glowing hole at the end to reach a new area. After your group makes a couple comments about your new location, go right to the Record of Fate. Use consumable Elements you may have to heal your party, then save your game. Before you continue, equip the Daemon Charm accessory on Lynx since he has better Black Elements and the upcoming boss uses AntiBlack. Now that you're ready for battle, go up and left down the steps. Take the path straight up into the middle path and go right up the steps, then go up and open the chest to get a Screwy Dress. Be sure to equip it on Harle right away since it'll raise her Magic Defense rating. Next, go down and left, then down again. This time, go left and up around to the left side, then go right and up through the middle. Go left and open another chest to get a HellBound Element, then go right and up the steps to the next area. Go up and try talking to the guy sitting on the ledge in the middle of the area. The ghostly children will become mad at you for causing the world to end like this for some reason. After that, a real man will appear and introduce himself as Miguel. After a flashback and a talk with Miguel, refuse his offer to stay in his world and he'll fight you in a boss battle. Read the Bosses section for help on beating Miguel. When you defeat Miguel, your group will gain another Star Level. After that, talk to Miguel and he'll give a long speech. The ghostly kids will return and continue talking about the fate of the planet. After a long talk, fate will start to carry out its plan and you must leave the area quickly. After saying goodbye, your group will automatically go down to the previous area. Here, a giant dragon known as the Sky Dragon will take you away quickly, and then you'll see a FMV of the Dead Sea being destroyed. The Sky Dragon will drop you off on the island of Marbule, and then it'll fly away. After this, you'll appear on the World Map. There, go around the path past Marbule and get on your boat. Now, head northwest and dock the boat by Arni Village. Then, go left and down the path to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- When you enter this area, go left and find that green wormhole that allows you to cross between dimensions has been restored. Use the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. When you get there, go right as if you're leaving and you'll hear a boy being attacked by a bunch of giant shadow cats. Your party will make the demons leave, then the boy will thank you. After he leaves, continue right and out of Opassa Beach. On the World Map, go up and right to enter Arni Village. Arni Village (Another World) ---------------------------- When you enter this deserted town, go left down the ramp and press X by the cart to get a Rainbow Shell. Since there's nothing else to do here, just go back right and down to exit this village. Back on the World Map, head north and enter Fossil Valley. Fossil Valley (Another World) ----------------------------- This time around when you go through Fossil Valley, you'll find many stronger enemies roaming around. Anyway, head up and left around the path, then continue down and left along the lower path to the exit of this valley. When you get to the World Map again, just go left and up to enter Termina. Termina (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter this town, go up the steps to the bar, then enter the bar. The bartender will catch your party when you enter. This time, she'll unlock that room to the far left for you. So, go left and enter that room. You can talk to Guile, who won't join you at this point, as well as a lady who will tell you to enter from the left. So, check out the upper wall in the left corner of this room and you'll enter a secret room. Go up and Zoah will come up to you. Talk to him if you want, then go right and Karsh will appear. Karsh will explain some things to you for a while, then he'll give you the Tear of Hate. When you're given the option of having either Karsh or Zoah in your party, pick Zoah. You'll see my reason for this after we enter Viper Manor shortly. After you recruit him, replace Harle to place Zoah in your current party. After that, enter the submenu and then choose to allocate Elements. Before you choose someone to allocate Elements to, go all the way left and a menu will appear. Scroll down to Harle and remove all her Elements, then go right out of this menu and start allocating to Zoah. Here's the lineup of what you should allocate to Zoah only (there isn't a change for Lynx or Norris, so there's no need to list them too): Zoah: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, GravityBlow, Fireball, Revive, Cure, Bushwhacker, PhotonRay, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) Heal, ElectroJolt, IceLance, MagmaBomb, Meteorite, AeroSaucer (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, RecoverAll, Gravitonne, DragonRider (Tech), AquaBall (Level 4 Elements) MagmaBurst, ElectroBolt, FirePillar, IceBlast (Level 5 Elements) Inferno, FreeFall, Gyronimo (Tech) (Level 6 Element) HolyLight (Level 7 Element) (leave this space empty for now) Now, go down and left and exit this hidden room. Then, continue down and into the regular bar area. Just continue right and out of the bar. Then, go down the steps to hear the Porre Army guards being given orders. After that, their leader, Norris, will come up to your group and have no idea who your group's Norris is. After a bit more of talking, as well as a message from a guard, Another World's Norris will leave (Home World's Norris is in your group). Then, just go down the steps and exit town as well. On the World Map, head right and up around the mountains to reach Viper Manor. Before you enter the manor, save your game. Then, go up and press X to enter Viper Manor. Viper Manor (Another World) --------------------------- When you enter this area outside of the gates, go up and talk to the soldiers to get them to open the gate. Then, continue right to the next area. Keep going right and talk to the guard in front of the manor's entrance to get through. Press X and enter the manor, then you'll hear a talk between the other Norris's troops and the captive Lady Riddel. After the guards take Riddel away, the scene will shift back to you. In the room you're in, open the right door and go down that hallway. Open the second door to enter Zoah's room, then press Select to move Zoah to the front of your party. Then, go up and open the chest to get Zoah's Level 7 Tech Skill, Toss&Spike! Allocate that Tech Skill to his empty Level 7 slot right away. After that, exit this room and go left to the middle area again. This time, go left and open that gate and enter the last door to the left. Go up and talk to the other Norris. After having a conversation with him, he'll give you the Prison Key. After you're done here, leave this room and you'll see a scene of the manor's kitchen and a guard turning Orcha, the cook, into a much more evil person. As for your group, go left and down the steps to the lower floor. You'll see a square hatch in front of you, so press X in front of it and go down to the basement. Once there, go down along the path and then right into the rapidly moving water. You'll be washed down into another room, where you'll fall down a short waterfall. When you land, go up the steps and take the path all the way right across the barrel bridging the gap. Go right and up the path to the end, then go left and up, and then right to a chest in the corner. Open it to get a Humour. Now, go back left and down to find a barrel by the edge. Push it down into the water, then go right and down the path to the end. Go left and down the steps to the right to enter the water. Follow the path right and up, then right through the tunnel to the next area. Continue down to the following area, then go up to the bars and press X to make the creature on the high ledge knock the chest down to the lower area. Now, go back up and left to the sewer area. Now, continue up until you reach the steps, then go up onto the platform. Push the second barrel into the water, then go down the steps into the water again. Follow the path right and up around the platform and to the left across the upper section of the room. Continue left to a chest containing Denadorite. Now, make your way back to that platform you were just on, then go down and left from there. Go left and onto the dry platform, then go up and right. Go up and left across the bridge of barrels, then continue left and up the stairs to the next room. Here, press X by the valve and choose to tighten it. It'll cause the water to slow down so you can go through it safely. Now, go back down the steps to the previous room. Go right across the barrels, then go down and left along the path. Go down the path to the right and go right down the steps. Then, follow the watery path right and up until you reach the second right turn. Go right and up around the platform, then continue all the way left to a platform in the upper-left corner of this room. Go up the steps leading onto that platform, then climb the ladder to reach the basement floor. Go up the steps in front of you to get to the first floor, then open the left gate. Enter the second door here, and then go straight up through the kitchen. Get to the hatch in the upper corner of the kitchen and press X to go back down to the sewers. When you land in the sewers, go right into the water, and then go down and right to the right alcove. Go up the step to the dry ledge, then go up and right to find a chest. Open it to get the Magic Seal, then go back left and down to the water. Go down a short bit, then get onto the second ledge to the right and follow the path upward. Follow this path to the end, and then go down the steps and go up and left along the path to another valve. Press X and open the gate below, then go back right and take the upper path right into the next area. Go right and down to another valve and choose to tighten it. Then, go back around to the previous room. Now, go all the way down to the bottom path going left, and then go left up the steps. Continue left and up into the water, then go right into the next room. Here, go right and up onto the dry ledge, then go up and around the path. Go down and right to the end, then go up to a chest and open it to get a Nimble Element. Now, go back down and left and you'll see a small step leading into the canal above you. Get into that water and go left and up the ladder to the valve. Open the valve this time, and then climb back down into the water and take the new path to the right. A giant roach will suddenly fall from the ceiling and you'll enter a boss battle against the Roachester. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating this giant bug. After you win, your group will gain their 27th Star Level, as well as new Level 2 Element slots on their Element grids! Now, go right and up the ladder, then through the door to the next room. Here, there are 3 different walls you can climb up to reach a different jail cell above you. In the left one, you'll find Glenn in there sleeping. In the middle one, you'll find a guy yelling about being in the prison. In the right cell (you should go up this one), you'll find Fargo. Talk to him and he'll tell you where Riddel is being held captive. Then, he'll use your Prison Key to escape and free the others. Now, go down and out of the cell. Head right and save your game at the Record of Fate. Then, enter the last door to the right and you'll find Riddel and the guards. The evil Orcha will confront you and you'll enter another boss battle against Hell's Cook. As always, read the Bosses section for help on defeating this boss. After you win, your group will gain the Star Level, some stat boosts, and new Element slots on their grids. After the guards run away, Orcha will become normal again and join your group, but don't put him in your current party. Your group will end up in the entrance area of Viper Manor with the other Norris and Riddel. Riddel will tell you she's going to Hermit's Hideaway to care for her father, and then she and the other Norris will leave. Try to go down and exit, but Zoah will tell you that it's not safe to leave yet. So, go up and open the double doors, then go up the steps and open the door to enter the next room. Here, you'll be confronted by the Porre army troops. Defeat them in battle, then you'll meet Grobyc. He'll challenge you, and then you'll enter a third boss battle in this manor! Read the Bosses section again for help on defeating Grobyc. When you win, your group will win another Star Level, gain better stats, and another slot on their Element grids. Now, a guard will go and activate a giant robot in the lower part of the room. The robot, known as Guillot, will attack and you'll enter a pretty easy battle against it. Just use lots of strong attacks, especially Green Elements, while keeping your group's HP high until you defeat it. After that, it'll pretty much push you all the way to the library. When you get there, the Prophet will tell you to run upstairs since the robot is still following. Your group will automatically run upstairs, then fight the Guillot again. After you beat it the second time, your group will lower the nearby ladder and climb to the top of this area. Guillot will get up and try to pursue you again by jumping on the chandelier, but Grobyc will appear and take it on. The guards will start coming after you, so your group makes an escape by jumping through the stained glass window. When you land in the stables below, the man there will be confused at first as far as how you suddenly appeared. When he asks about what you'll do about the guards, pick either answer (I picked the first one) and the man will help you. He'll release the dragons into the courtyard to trample all the guards. Grobyc will then appear and join your group. Don't put him in your current lineup just yet. Your group will then decide to go to Hermit's Hideaway and exit the manor. Don't leave just yet; go back to the manor and get through the gates, then go right into the actual building. Inside, go up and open the left gate, then go left and enter the last door. Talk to the other Norris and he'll give you Norris's Level 7 Tech Skill, TopShot! After Norris leaves, exit this room and go left down the stairs. Go right and open the first gate, then go right and open the other gate. Then, go right down the hallway and enter the last room to the right. Here, go up and push the snake statue in the middle of the room up, then to the right. Push it into the small alcove in the floor and you'll open up a hidden room. Before entering this room, go to the column in the left corner and press X to reveal a hidden switch. Push it, then enter that hidden room and open the chests to get Viper's Venom and a Rainbow Shell. Now, go back left and down and exit this room. Then, go left and up the steps to the second floor. Go left and open the gate at the end, then go down and exit the building. Go down to the well in the corner, then press X to climb down. At the bottom, go down through the lower-right wall to the next area, then open the nearby chest to get a Deluge Element. Now, go back up and climb out of the well. After that, go up and left to the next area, then continue through the next area to exit Viper Manor completely. Back outside, use the Tele-Porter to put Harle into your party. Then, remove all accessories she's equipped with, as well as any Elements you left on her (Techs cannot be removed). Then, switch back to your other party member. Now, go down and left around the mountain, then go up and left to the boat and press X to depart the main continent. Head up and right across the water, then go right around the large island you come across. Dock at the Hermit's Hideaway shore, and then walk up the path to Hermit's Hideaway. Hermit's Hideaway (Another World) -------------------------------- When you enter this area, go straight up to the paths leading upward. Take those paths to the ladder, then climb down into the hideout. Radius will stop you and realize that you're Serge. Go left into the side room and talk to Marcy if you want, then talk to Riddel standing nearby. She'll thank you again and choose to join your group. After that, choose to rest and Karsh will panic because an invader is outside. General Viper will wake up feeling better again, and then that person will call out to Lynx. Your group will run outside to confront none other than Kid, who thinks you're the real Lynx. The evil Serge will then appear and talk for a moment before getting ready for a fight. Fargo will then fly in on Polly and rescue you from this place. Fargo will fly your group back to his ship, the S.S. Invincible. Lynx/Serge will then walk away and think for a while about Kid for some reason. Harle will then show up and talk for a moment. After that, you'll have control of your group again, so go right and down the steps, then go all the way to the other side of the ship. Go down the steps and enter the inside of the ship. Here, you'll see Fargo and Viper ready to fight each other. They will notice you, and then Fargo and Viper will join your party. Marcy and Karsh will then appear and join your party as well. Do not put them into your current party just yet. After that, you'll automatically get onto your boat and head to the Pearly Gates. Pearly Gates (Another World) ---------------------------- When you enter this area, go up and talk to Harle. She'll explain how to get through to the Sea of Eden, and how you can't do it as Lynx. She'll then ask you a question, but you can answer whatever way you want. After that, the scene will shift back to the S.S. Invincible and Harle will be gone. Your group will then leave the giant ship and Harle will be left behind talking to Starky. Back on the World Map, it's time to switch your party around. Remove all of Zoah and Norris's Elements and accessories, and then switch them for Karsh and Grobyc. Then, equip the Mythril Helmets on your new group, and put the Dragoon Gauntlet on Karsh to raise his attack power. Now, it's time to re-allocate all your Elements like so: Lynx: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Cure, Revive, Uplift, GravityBlow (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, GravityBlow, ElectroJolt, Meteorite (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Upheaval, GlideHook (Tech), FirePillar (Level 4 Elements) HealAll, Strengthen, ElectroBolt, IceBlast, MeteorShower (Level 5 Elements) MagmaBurst, Inferno, FeralCats (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) FreeFall, Deluge (Level 7 Elements) (leave this empty for now) Karsh: (Level 1 Elements) GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Bushwhacker, PhotonRay (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, AeroSaucer, MagmaBomb, Heal (Level 3 Elements) AquaBall, PhotonBeam, DragonRider (Tech), Gravitonne (Level 4 Elements) AeroBlaster, MeteorShower, IceBlast, FirePillar, HealAll (Level 5 Elements) HolyLight, AeroBlaster, AxialAxe (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) (leave these spaces empty for now) (Level 7 Element) (leave this empty for now) Grobyc: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, Heal, ElectroJolt, GravityBlow, MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, FirePillar, Upheaval, RocketFist (Tech), Bushbasher (Level 4 Elements) ElectroBolt, IceBlast, AquaBall, AeroBlaster, MagmaBurst (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, Inferno, HairCutter (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) Inferno, Earthquake, (leave this empty for now) (Level 7 Element) (leave this empty for now) Now that you've taken care of things with your new party, head west and dock near Arni Village. Then, head all the way east and enter the Hydra Marshes. Hydra Marshes (Another World) ----------------------------- When you enter this area, go up and take the right path into the marsh. Then, go left and up into the next area. Here, go up the path and go left at the end to reach the following area. Go left and up and you'll see a couple of creatures confronting a Beeba. Choose to "Help out" and defeat the enemies, then the Beeba will thank you by giving you the Ancient Fruit. After the Beeba walks away, go up and save your game if you want, otherwise continue right to the next area. Continue right and up, then walk up the narrow path to reach the higher ledge. Then, go right to the next area and you'll find a giant hole there. Go up to it and press X, and then choose to jump in to land in the cave below. A giant skeleton known as De-Hydrate will appear and you'll enter a battle against it. This has to be one of the absolute EASIEST battles you'll ever play for the rest of the game. Just use regular attacks to boost the Element power levels, then use HolyLight once to defeat it on the spot. After the battle, your group will talk a little more, then gain the HydraShadow (a Level 5 Tech Skill for Steena, who hasn't been recruited yet). Now, go down and open the chest on the ledge to get a Pendragon Sigil B. Then, climb up the upper-right wall to exit this cave. Go right to the edge of this platform and press X along the upper side to jump down into the marsh. Then, go left and up through the marsh into the next area. Just go right through this area into the following area, and then go down and save your game. Now, go down onto the dry land and follow the dry path all the way down and right into the next area. Go down until you reach the path going to the left, and then go left into the next area. Here, go left and use the Green Tinkler next to the plant to make it stretch downward for you. Walk down it to reach the marsh, then go down the path to the next area. In this area, go down and up the log to the dry ledge. Then, go down and right until you reach the dry path going down. Go down that path and exit the Hydra Marshes altogether. On the World Map, go northwest to Arni Village, then go around and press X to get on your boat and leave. Now, head to the northeast corner of the World Map and dock the boat at the shore of the Isle of the Damned. Then, just walk around the path to enter the isle. Isle of the Damned (Another World) ---------------------------------- Upon entering this area, go up and right to the end, then go down. Go down under the higher ledge, then go right and into the room and press X to get an Eyeball. Now, go back up the path and go up the 3 sets of steps to the higher ledge. Once there, go left and into the room, then press X to find Mixed Bones. Next, go right and down along the path, then go left into the next room. Go up the path to the end of the large bone to the left, then go left and under the bone. Follow the path all the way down under the bone to reach the next area. Go up the short path to the mirror and use the Garai Keepsake, then walk through the mirror to the next area. Here, go up and left around the path to the other side of the room, then go right and down the small ramp to the middle ledge. Go right and climb down the ladder, then enter the dark room and press X to get the Revenge Element. Then, climb back up and go left into the orange-colored doorway to enter the next room. Go up and you'll confront Solt and Peppor again. They will accuse Karsh of killing Dario. After a long flashback, you'll enter a fight against Solt and Peppor. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating them. After you win (no, you do not win a Star Level here), Karsh will gain his Level 7 Tech Skill, Axiomatic! Solt and Peppor will apologize, give you the MementoPendant, and then they'll leave. After they leave, allocate the new Tech Skill to Karsh's Element grid, then go down to the previous area. Go left and up the hill, then go up, right, and down along the path to reach the following area. Here, go down and left through the orange-colored door to the next area, then go all the way up under the giant bone. At the end, go right and down to the next area. Go right and up along the path, then go down the 3 sets of steps to the bottom area. Then, continue left and down out of this isle. Back on the World Map, go around the path to your boat, and then press X to board it. Head west all the way past the large continent and dock at Guldove. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- As soon as you enter Guldove, your party will notice that people are gathering nearby. They'll automatically run to the left and find that Orlha the bartender is fighting off the invading Porre troops. She'll notice your group is there and thinks they're the enemies, so she'll attack. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Orlha. After this fight (you don't win a Star Level, sadly), you'll force the Porre troops to leave Guldove at once. You'll end up in Doc's office with Orlha. She'll give you the SapphireBrooch and ask you return when you regain Serge's real body again. After that, go left and down and exit this building. Go left along the path to the next area, then go left and climb up the ladder to the higher ledge. There, go left to the next area, and then continue left and enter the hut. Go up to Direa and select the Tear of Hate from the Key Items menu and she'll give you the Dragon Emblem. Save your game if you want, then exit this hut. Go right and talk to the girl standing on the ledge and choose to become the wind. Pay 2G and you'll take a ride down to the entrance of town as a shortcut. Now, just go right and onto your boat to leave Guldove completely. On the World Map again, remove all of Karsh's Elements/accessories and use the Tele-Porter to replace him with Fargo. Now, equip the Mythril Helmet and Dragoon Gauntlet on Fargo. Then, allocate the Elements to Fargo like so: Fargo: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, GravityBlow, PhotonRay, Uplift, Bushwhacker, Cure, Fireball (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, ElectroJolt, Heal, AeroSaucer, FirePillar (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, AquaBall, RecoverAll, Pillage (Tech), PhotonBeam (Level 4 Elements) HealAll, AeroBlaster, AquaBall, IceBlast (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, Inferno, CannonBalls (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) HolyLight, FrogPrince (Summon) (Level 7 Element) (leave this empty for now) After you're done preparing Fargo for the next part of the game, head southeast a little bit and dock at Arni Village. From there, go left and down to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Another World) ---------------------------- When you enter this area, go left to the green wormhole and use the Astral Amulet to warp to Home World. Once there, go right and exit Opassa Beach. Back on the World Map, go right and get onto your boat again. Then, go left and up along the side of the large continent. Then, go right to the S.S. Zelbess and dock there. S.S. Zelbess (Home World) ------------------------- When you board the giant cruise ship, head right and up the steps and ladders all the way to the next area. Go right and down the steps to get inside the actual ship. Inside, go left down the hall to the end, then go up the steps and enter Fargo's cabin. Go up and talk to the other Fargo to have a little confrontation. Your group's Fargo will take over the ship and steer it all the way to Marbule, then have Nikki play his song to make the ghosts of Marbule materialize. When you get to Marbule, your group will go onto the top deck and Nikki will begin the concert. After a really long performance, your group will start to leave the ship and Fargo will gain his Level 7 Tech Skill, Invincible! Be sure to allocate it as soon as you can! Now, press X and get on your boat to leave the S.S. Zelbess and arrive in Marbule Marbule (Home World) -------------------- When you arrive in Marbule, you'll have a quick conversation with The Great Explorer Toma. After he leaves, your job is to go through town and defeat all the monsters that have appeared. So, go up and fight these creatures one by one. Head up and right across the bridge to the other side of town and fight every single creature here. After you eventually beat all of them, go up and left into the cave. There, go up and defeat a couple more enemies. After that, a dialogue box will appear telling you that a dragon's cry was heard in the far-off distance. Now that you accomplished your goal, go down and exit this cave. Go right and down the steps, then go down and left across the bridge. Go down and enter the building, then go up to the bed and press X to rest for the night. That way, you'll recover all Star Levels may have used for Summons, as well as your group's HP. Then, exit the hut and go down to exit Marbule. On the World Map, use the Smith Spirit and forge 3 Stone Mails since you should have enough Denadorite for that by now. Equip them on your current party members, and then disassemble the old mails. Also, disassemble all of the following accessories: any "Earring" accessory, any "Pendant" accessory, the Pendragon Sigil B, any unequipped Mythril Helmets, and the Dragoon's Honor. Now, get on your boat and head west towards the El Nido Triangle. Then, go up and dock at the shore of the Water Dragon Isle, and then walk right to enter the actual isle. Water Dragon Isle (Home World) ------------------------------ When you enter this isle, go up and press X by the lily pad and ride it to another small island in the pond. Then, go up and ride that one to the next island. Press X and ride the one north of you to another island, then ride the upper-right lily pad to the next ledge. Save your game with the Record of Fate, then climb up the wall north of you and enter the next area. Here, go up through the small fairy community and climb up the middle ladder. Then, just go up into the next area. In this room, go up and left, then climb down the ladder to the bottom of this area. There, go down and into the following room. Save your game here, then go right and down the ladders to the lower ledge. Then, go left and down another ladder and go right. Defeat the two Sidesteppas in the way, and then go right into the next room. Go up and onto the platform, and then press X to talk to the Water Dragon. Tell it you want its blessing, then you'll enter a boss battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Water Dragon. After you win, you'll gain a Star Level, as well as the BlueWhale Summon as spoils from the fight! The Water Dragon will then give you the Blue Relic as its blessing. Now, use some consumable Elements you may have to cure the Flu on your party if they have it. Then, go down and into the next room and go left. Climb up the ladder, then go right and up the next couple ladders and into the next room. Go up the long ladder in front of you here, then go right and down to the following room. Here, go down the ladder and continue down all the way to the next area. Climb down the wall, then go down and ride the lily pad to the small island. Ride the lily pad to the left to the next island, and then ride the one to the right across the pond. Then, ride the one to the left, and then go down and out of this isle completely. On the World Map, get on your boat and head directly north of the large continent. Dock at the Earth Dragon Isle's shore, then go right and enter the actual isle. Earth Dragon Isle (Home World) ------------------------------ When you enter this isle, go up the path to the quicksand area. Then, go up into the quicksand and your group will sink into the caverns below. When you land, run towards the right and fall onto the right ledge. Go right along the path, then drop down to the lower ledge by the sand geyser. From there, go down the ladders to the bottom of this room. Go left and talk to the guy standing nearby and he'll explain something to you about the Rockroaches, then he'll give you the Explosive. Now, go down into the next room. In this room, go left and down to a chest. Open it to get Denadorite, then go back up and right to the entrance of this room. Take the path to the left by the Rockroach on the ledge. Set the Explosive on it by selecting it from the Key Items menu. The explosion will cause the Rockroach to go flying and cover a sand geyser below. Now, go left and down the ladder, then go left and talk to the guy there. He'll give you a hint on what to do about the next Rockroach. So, wait for it to walk by the right ledge, then defeat it in battle. After you beat it, press X by it and push it down the cliff to cover the sand geyser. Then, continue down and right along the path. Go all the way right and open the chest at the end to get another Denadorite. Go back left, and then go down the ladder to the ground level. Go right and defeat the Rockroach standing nearby. Afterwards, press X and push it into the third sand geyser. Now, a fourth hole will appear, which is a sand boil. Go up and press X by it to drop down into the next room. Here, just go down and into the following room. Go to the Record of Fate and use the Smith Spirit to forge new weapons for your current party. Equip the new weapons, and then sell the old stuff since you should have more than enough of the raw materials. Now, save your game at the Record of Fate and go down and right along the path. At the end, your group will think there's nothing to do here, but the Earth Dragon will then appear. Talk to it and you'll enter a battle. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Earth Dragon. When you defeat the Earth Dragon, your group will gain a Star Level, better stats, and the ThundaSnake Summon Element! It'll then give you the Yellow Relic for defeating it. Now, go back left and up to the previous room. Go up the path to the end, and then press X at the left edge. Your group will decide to try jumping down, so press X at that edge again and jump down into the sand boil, which will then shoot you onto another ledge. From there, go up the ladder and up to the next room. Go right and up the two ladders to the ledge with the sand boil. Press X and you'll be shot to the outside of the isle. Now, go left across the bridge, then go down the ladder at the other side. Continue down the path and exit this isle completely. Back on the World Map, go left to your boat and head southeast to Arni Village. Dock your boat there and head east to the Hydra Marshes. Hydra Marshes (Home World) -------------------------- When you enter this area, go up and right into the marsh. Follow the marsh path all the way left and up, then walk left to the next area. Go up the path, then left near the end to reach the following area. Go left and up and talk to the Beeba to enter battle against it. Defeat it, then after it leaves you along, continue up and right to the next area. Go right to the second Beeba, then play the Beeba Flute to make Wingapede appear and take you to the impenetrable Gaea's Navel. Gaea's Navel (Home World) ------------------------- As soon as you land here, a small girl will appear and talk to you. Her name is Leah and she'll choose to join your party. After she joins (don't put her in your current lineup), go on the left path and climb up the wall to a chest on the high ledge. Open it to get a Green Brooch, then equip it on Lynx or Fargo. Also, equip the Star Fragment on Grobyc so he won't be affected by most status effects. As a quick note: although I'm not going to be telling you to do this throughout the walkthrough, you should try and kill pretty much every enemy and open every chest in Gaea's Navel. That means you should actually explore the island and go to places I'm not directing you to. It's also the only way you can advance to the next part of the game. Now, climb back down to the ground and go left to the next area. Here, go left and up the hill, then go up and right to a chest on the ledge. Open it to get Denadorite, then go back left and down the path. Climb down the wall to the lower area and go left to the next area. Here, go all the way left and up and open the chest to get Denadorite. Now, go down and right a tiny bit, then climb up the wall to the higher ledge. Anyway, go right and up the hill, then climb up the wall to a high ledge. Open the chest there to get Denadorite yet again, then climb back down and continue down the ramp again. Then, go right to the next area and open the chest to the right to get Denadorite. Go back left to the previous area, then go left and climb down the wall to reach the lower ledge. Now, go right to the next area. There, go all the way right to the end, then open the chest to get Denadorite. Then, go back left and climb up the weird section of the wall to reach the higher ledge. Once there, go right and down the hill, then go up and climb the wall to the higher ledge. Go left and open the chest to get Denadorite, then go right and down again to the ground. Now, go right to the Record of Fate and use the Smith Spirit, and then forge 3 Stone Helmets for your current party. Equip them, then disassemble or sell the old helmets. Now, save your game and go right to the next area. Here, it'll suddenly go quiet if you defeated the majority of the enemies. Go right and up and a giant dinosaur will appear and attack your group. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Tyrano. After you beat it and gain a Star Level, Leah will run off and your group will follow her. When you arrive in this next area, go back down to the previous area and go down and right to the end. Then, go up and all the way to the right side of the area. Then, go all the way up and go left on the high ledge and open the chest to get Denadorite again. Now, go back right and around to the area where Leah was hanging around and go up to the next area. Go up and you'll meet the Green Dragon. When it asks you to come hither, go up to it and press X to talk. It'll enter a battle against you, so use the Bosses section for help on defeating the Green Dragon. After you win and gain that Star Level and the Genie Summon, the Green Dragon will give you the Green Relic that you needed! Leah will join your group again, but don't put her in your current lineup. Now, go down to the next area and play the Beeba Flute to make the Wingapede come and get your group and bring you to Hydra Marshes. Hydra Marshes (Home World) -------------------------- When you land here again, go left along the path to the next area. Here, save your game using the Record of Fate. Then, go down and right to the next area. Head down and right along the path all the way to the following area. Then, continue down and right through the marsh until you reach the dry path to the south of the marsh. At that point, go down the dry path and out of the Hydra Marshes. On the World Map, head northwest towards Arni Village, then head southwest and enter Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- In this area, go left and find the wormhole, then use the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. When you get there, go right and out of this area. Back on the World Map, go up and right and get on your boat. Then, head to the southeast corner of the map and dock at the shore of Marbule. From there, just walk up and enter Marbule. Marbule (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Marbule, go up and talk to the pink child standing north of the entrance to buy some Elements. Buy at least 3 of every Trap Element he has for sale. Then, talk to the other pink guy in the pool to get some more Elements. Buy about 10 of each consumable Element, and 3 Weaken, LoRes, BatEye, and WeakMinded Elements. After that, go down and exit Marbule completely. (Note: Return here later with a party of non-human characters and talk to the guy standing at the entrance; you'll receive the Valencian Cloth Frame.) On the World Map, go down onto your boat, then head north to the S.S. Invincible. From there, go west and dock at the Pyre Shore. Before you enter Mount Pyre, it's time to allocate some more Elements to your group: Lynx: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Cure, Revive, Uplift, GravityBlow (Level 2 Elements) Ointment x5, IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, GravityBlow, ElectroJolt, Meteorite (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Upheaval, GlideHook (Tech), FirePillar, AquaBall (Level 4 Elements) Purify, HealAll, Strengthen, ElectroBolt, IceBlast, MeteorShower (Level 5 Elements) BatEye, WeakMinded, FeralCats (Tech), IceBlast (Level 6 Elements) FreeFall, LoRes (Level 7 Element) (leave this space empty for now) Fargo: (Level 1 Elements) AquaBeam, GravityBlow, PhotonRay, Uplift, Bushwhacker, Cure, Fireball (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, ElectroJolt, Heal, AeroSaucer, Ointment x5 (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, AquaBall, RecoverAll, Pillage (Tech), PhotonBeam (Level 4 Elements) HealAll, AeroBlaster, AquaBall, IceBlast (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, Deluge, CannonBalls (Tech) (Level 6 Elements) HolyLight, FrogPrince (Summon) (Level 7 Element) Invincible (Tech) Grobyc: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, Heal, ElectroJolt, GravityBlow, MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, AquaBall, Upheaval, RocketFist (Tech), Bushbasher (Level 4 Elements) ElectroBolt, IceBlast, AquaBall, AeroBlaster, MagmaBurst (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, IceBlast, HairCutter (Tech), LoRes (Level 6 Elements) Inferno, Earthquake, Volcano (Trap) (Level 7 Elements) (leave these empty for now) After you prepare your group's Elements, go left and enter Mount Pyre. Mount Pyre (Another World) -------------------------- When you enter Mount Pyre, go straight up the path (it should still be frozen from earlier in the game). Go up the left path and climb the wall at the end to reach the next room. Here, go up and take the right path to the next room. In this room, go right to the edge of the lava and use the Ice Breath to freeze all the lava. Now, go right onto the ice and slide down the long hill to the bottom, then go right and open the chest to get a MagmaBomb Element. Then, follow the path up and right to another room. Here, QUICKLY run up the lava hill without freezing it, then open the chest to get a Pendragon Sigil A. Then, run onto the dry ledge to the right and use Capsules/Tablets to recover all the lost HP from going in the lava. Go right across the bridge and open the chest there to get a Poultice Cap. Now, go back left into the lava and use the Ice Breath to freeze the lava. After that, slide down the hill and continue up the path to the next room. Here, talk to the small Fire Dragon to enter a boss battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Fire Dragon. When you win, your group will gain another Star Level, as well as the Salamander Summon. The Red Dragon will then hand over the Red Relic, then leave the area. So, go right out of this room and follow the path all the way down and left to the following area. Continue down the tunnel to the icy lava, then go down and right to the next area. Slide down to the next ledge, then go left and down out of Mount Pyre. Back on the World Map, go right and board your boat. Head southeast and dock at the Marbule shore, then save your game and enter Marbule. Marbule (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Marbule, go up and right through town. Get to the upper-right part of Marbule, then go left and up the steps to the cave at the end. Enter that cave and you'll see the Black Dragon has awakened. Go up and talk to it to enter a boss battle. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Black Dragon. When you beat it, your group will gain their 35th Star Level, Lynx's Level 7 Tech, and better stats! You'll also win the GrimReaper Summon Element. After that, the Black Dragon will give you the Black Relic. Now, leave this cave and go right down the path. Then, go down and left across the bridge and continue down out of Marbule. On the World Map, go down and onto your boat. Then, head west towards Gaea's Navel. From there, go north and dock at the crescent shaped island known as Sky Dragon Isle. After you dock, go up and enter this isle. Sky Dragon Isle (Another World) ------------------------------- When you enter this isle, go left up the path to the middle area. Talk to the people if you want, then go up the next set of steps to the next area. Here, continue all the way up the long set of steps to the top, which is the next area. Go up and talk to the Sky Dragon standing there. It'll challenge you to a fight, then you'll enter battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating the Sky Dragon. After you beat it, you'll gain another Star Level, some better stats, and the Saints Summon Element! The Sky Dragon will then acknowledge that you defeated it and give you the White Relic. After it flies away, go down and out of this area. Go all the way down the steps to the following area, and then take the right path out of this isle completely. On the World Map again, get on your boat and go east, then dock at Arni Village. Then, head southwest to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Another World) ---------------------------- As you always do in this area, go left to the wormhole and use the Astral Amulet to warp back to the Home World. When you get there, go right and out of this area. Back on the World Map, go right and get on your boat, then head northwest to Guldove. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Guldove, go left along the path to the next area. Here, go left and up and climb the ladder to reach the upper ledge. Go left to the next area, then talk to the guard in front of the hut. He won't let you in, but your party will suggest showing him the Dragon Emblem. So, go up to him again and select the Dragon Emblem from the Key Items menu and he'll let you in. Enter this hut and go up around the table, then talk to Steena in the back. She will join your party and give you the Dragon Tear. Now, leave this hut and go right to the next area. Climb down the ladder and then go right and down to the following area. From here, just continue right onto your boat to leave this town. Now, before doing anything else, remove all of Fargo's Elements and accessories. Then, use the Tele-Porter and replace him with Riddel. Then, use the Smith Spirit and forge her a Denadorite Rod and a Stone Mail. Equip her with the new weapon, but instead of the Stone Mail, give her the Black Plate armor, as well as the Dragoon Gauntlet and Stone Helmet that you just removed from Fargo. Also, remove the Revive Element from Grobyc and replace it with PhotonRay. Then, allocate Elements onto Riddel like so: Riddel: (Level 1 Elements) PhotonRay, Fireball, AquaBeam, Bushwhacker, Revive, Uplift, Cure (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, Meteorite, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) Bushbasher, RecoverAll, PhotonBeam, Gravitonne, SnakeEyes (Tech), Upheaval (Level 4 Elements) MeteorShower, IceBlast, RecoverAll, HealAll, ElectroBolt (Level 5 Elements) HolyLight, AeroBlaster, SnakeSkin (Tech), MagmaBurst (Level 6 Elements) UltraNova, Inferno, WeakMinded (Level 7 Elements) (leave these empty for now) After you're done here, head east to the northern shore of the main continent. At a position about north of Mount Pyre, you should see a small, unmarked island with smoke puffs coming out of the middle of it. Go up to that island and press X to dock there, then press X on the actual island to enter the Forbidden Island. Forbidden Island (Home World) ----------------------------- When you enter this secret island, follow the path left and up into a house. Talk to the man sitting there and Riddel will think that it's Dario. After a quick talk, Riddel will show him a MementoPendant and he will suddenly tell her to run. Radius and Karsh will walk in and the Masamune Sword will appear. Dario will grab the sword and Karsh will have a flashback about what really happened with that cursed sword. After a flashback, your group will end up outside of the house with Dario possessed. Radius will tell you that you have to defeat the Masamune to save Dario, then you'll enter a boss fight versus Dario. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Dario. After you win, (you don't gain a Star Level for this fight, unfortunately) the Masamune will become uncursed. It'll then choose Lynx as its new owner after a little conversation between the sword's 3 parts. It'll intertwine with the Sea Swallow and become the Mastermune, which is Lynx's new weapon! After Dario regains his senses, your group will take Dario to the Viper Manor ruins. After another long talk here, Dario will give Riddel the SnakeFangs, which is her Level 7 Tech Skill! After that, you'll end up on the World Map again. Back on the World Map, allocate the SnakeFangs to Riddel right away. Then, remove her Elements, accessories, and replace the Black Plate with the Stone Mail. Now, use the Tele-Porter and replace her with Steena. Use the Smith Spirit and forge Steena a Stone Sword, and sell the old sword she had. Equip her with the Black Plate armor, as well as the Dragoon Gauntlet and Stone Helmet. Allocate her Level 5 Tech, HydraShadow, as well, then allocate the other Elements in this arrangement: Lynx: (Level 1 Elements) Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Fireball, Cure, Revive, Uplift, GravityBlow (Level 2 Elements) Fireball, IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Heal, GravityBlow, ElectroJolt, Meteorite (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Upheaval, GlideHook (Tech), FirePillar, AquaBall (Level 4 Elements) Purify, HealAll, Strengthen, ElectroBolt, IceBlast, MeteorShower (Level 5 Elements) LoRes, BatEye, WeakMinded, FeralCats (Tech), IceBlast (Level 6 Elements) FreeFall, Deluge (leave the other space empty) (Level 7 Elements) ForeverZero (Tech) (leave the other space empty) Steena: (Level 1 Elements) PhotonRay, Fireball, Bushwhacker, Revive, AquaBeam, Uplift, Cure (Level 2 Elements) IceLance, MagmaBomb, AeroSaucer, Meteorite, ElectroJolt, Heal (Level 3 Elements) FirePillar, RecoverAll, PhotonBeam, DireaShadow (Tech), Upheaval (Level 4 Elements) AeroBlaster, IceBlast, MeteorShower, HealAll, LoRes (Level 5 Elements) HydraShadow (Tech), HolyLight, WeakMinded, Weaken (Level 6 Elements) Tornado (Trap), UltraNova, Iceberg (Trap) (Level 7 Elements) MagNegate (leave the other space empty for now) Grobyc: (Level 1 Elements) PhotonRay, Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, Heal, ElectroJolt, GravityBlow, MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, AquaBall, Upheaval, RocketFist (Tech), Bushbasher (Level 4 Elements) ElectroBolt, IceBlast, AquaBall, AeroBlaster, MagmaBurst (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, IceBlast, HairCutter (Tech), LoRes (Level 6 Elements) Inferno, Earthquake, UltraNova (Trap) (Level 7 Elements) (leave these spaces empty for now) After that, you should also equip the Mastermune on Lynx. Then, head down and left around the mountain, and then continue up and left to your boat. Now, head south and east around the main continent. Dock the boat at the other side by Mount Pyre, and then enter the fiery mountain again. Mount Pyre (Home World) ----------------------- When you enter this mountain, go up to the lava in front of you and use the Ice Breath to freeze it. Then, continue up and onto the left path, then go up and right to the next area. In this new area, go straight up the path all the way to the end, and then climb up the wall to reach the following area. Here, go up and use the Ice Breath to freeze the lava. Then, take the path to the right and defeat the Lava-boy in your way. After that, open the chest to get Mythril. Go left and up the steps to the higher ledge and open the chest there to get Denadorite. Go back down to the ground, then go left and up the path. Follow the path up and right to the next area. Here, go up and across the bridge to the end and you'll exit Mount Pyre. Outside again, go down and left to enter Fort Dragonia. Fort Dragonia (Home World) -------------------------- As soon as you enter this fort, go up and your group will place the Dragon Tear on the pedestal. It'll then unlock every door in the fort for easy access. So, go around and up to the next room. Go up across the long bridge to the following room, then go left and save your game. Then, go right and enter the right room. Go across the bridge through the next 2 areas to reach another room. In this room, go right and you'll see that statue from earlier in the game. Read back in the earlier section of Fort Dragonia if you want to try this puzzle. Pick the direction that'll get you dropped into the south pit. When you land in that room, go down and right and open the chests to get 10 Nostrums. Open the other 2 chests to the left and get Denadorite and the Volcano Element. Then, go left to the next room. Here, go down and left and climb up the wall. Go left out of this room and continue across the bridge until you get to the middle room again. This time, go up and enter the upper-left door and go across the bridge in that room. (I'm skipping the upper-right room since there's nothing of real importance there. If you want the Denadorite and Nostrums there, go exploring and you'll find them.) In the following room, follow the path up and left to the 2 chests at the other side of the room. Open the bottom chest to make the ledge come near you, then take the path up and right to the other side. There, close the left chest and open the right one. Then, go up and left along the north path to the next group of chests. Make sure both chests are opened, then go back right and down across the middle platform to the next room. Here, open the chest to get the Iceberg Element. Now, exit this room and go right and up to the chests. Just continue up and left along the other path to reach the other set of chests. Close the right chest to move the ledge where you want it. Then, go back right and take the other path down and left to the first group of chests. From there, go right and down out of this room. Go across the bridge to the main room, and then enter the left room. Go across the bridge, then in the next room, go left and down along the path. Go up and left when you can, then go up and left at the north side of the room. Follow the path up the steps at the end to reach the higher ledge, then go up and left into another room. Go to the altar and press X to be assigned the "head", "body", and "tail". (For me, it was head, body, and tail in that order.) Now, press Select to switch the order to body, tail, and head, then go left to that room again. Go up to the altar and press X, then exit this room. Then, go down and right, then go up the path until you reach the block to the right. Go across it and open the chest on the ledge to get a Denadorite. Now, go back left and down, then left and up into that room again. Press Select to change your order to tail, head, body, then press X at the altar to change the room layout. Exit this room and go down and right to the steps. Go down the steps and follow the path upward. Go down when you get a chance, then go left and down again. Go right and down around the middle area, then take the path down and left. Go down on the path between the walls again and go right and up. Go up to the very end, then go up the steps and go left across the block. Open the chest to get a ThundaStorm Element, then go back right across that block. Go down the steps and go right out of this room. Go right across the bridge and you'll end up in the middle area again. Now, save your game at the Record of Fate, then open the middle door and enter that room. Go up and you'll see the evil Serge floating there. Your group will then enter a boss battle against him, so read the Bosses section for help on winning. After you win, you'll gain a Star Level and your group will gain their first Level 8 Element slots! After this, Dark Serge will disappear again. Now, go up onto the elevator and choose to ride it downward. In the room you arrive in, go down and press X by the middle orange device. Select the Big Egg from the Key Items menu and it'll hatch a creature named Draggy. Choose to take it with you and Draggy will join your party. Don't put it into your current group, though. After that, go up the elevator twice to reach the top floor. Once at the top, go down and right to the next room. Here, go down and right along the path, then go down around the middle base and open the chest to get 5 Nostrums. Then, go back up and left all the way across to the leftmost platform and head down. Go down the steps at the end and continue down to the next room. Go left up the steps and go through the door to the following room. Go up a tiny bit, and then go down the steps going straight down. In the next room, go left and open the chest in the corner to get an AntiBlack Element. Then, go all the way to the right side of the room and go through the door to the next room. Open the chest there to get 5 more Nostrums, then go back to the previous room. Go left and enter the middle door to reach the next room, then go up and right along the path. Go up the second set of steps to the right and open the chest to get an AntiWhite Element. Then, go down the path to the first set of steps and go up to the higher ledge. From there, go up and left to the middle platform and press X to warp to an area high above. When you appear in the next area, go up and press X to open the giant door. Your group will tell you (Lynx/Serge) to enter the room by yourself, and then you'll enter the room alone. There, go up to the middle pedestal and press X to hear a story of the planet's history. You can somewhat follow along as well by looking at the wall paintings that the floating ball of light stops in front of. After that, you'll see an FMV where Lynx looks at the Dragon Tear, but it unfreezes the real Serge and Lynx will disappear. After that, Serge will leave the room and meet your other 2 party members. Then, you'll gain the Tear of Love from the shattered Dragon Tear. Before you go anywhere, equip Serge with a Stone Helmet and Dragoon Gauntlet accessories (he automatically has the Mastermune and Stone Mail equipped). Now, go down and press X on the platform to teleport back down into the fort. There, go down the steps, then go left and up around the middle section. Go left and up the path to the next room. Go left and up to the elevator and press X to go back down. Once there, go down to the next room, then continue down to the following room. Head down across the bridge, then continue down and exit Fort Dragonia completely. On the World Map, go right and down through the sections of Mount Pyre quickly. Then, remove all of Steena's Elements and accessories, as well as removing the Black Plate and replacing it with a Stone Mail. Also, use the Tele-Porter and replace her with Norris. Use the Smith Spirit and forge Norris a Denadorite Gun and Stone Mail. You can sell the old equipment if you want. Then, go right onto your boat and head down and left, then dock at Arni Village. Go left from there and down to Opassa Beach. Opassa Beach (Home World) ------------------------- Here, go left as always to the wormhole, then use the Astral Amulet to warp to Another World. Then, go right and exit Opassa Beach. On the World Map, go right and onto your boat, then head northwest to Guldove. Guldove (Another World) ----------------------- When you enter Guldove, go directly left to the following area. Here, go up and enter the bar, then talk to Orlha. Select the SapphireBrooch from the Key Items menu and she'll join your party. After that, exit the bar and go left up the ladder. Then, go right and enter the Element Shop. Talk to the shaman and buy at least 2 of the following Elements: MeteorShower, Meteorite, and PhotonBeam. Leave the shop and climb back down the ladder, then go right and down to the next area. Go right and back onto your boat to leave Guldove. Back on the World Map, go east and dock your boat at Termina. Then, walk around the bend and enter Termina. Termina (Home World) -------------------- When you enter Termina, go up the steps and enter Lisa's Element Shop. Here, buy at least 2 or 3 of the following Elements: AquaBeam, HealAll, RecoverAll, Uplift, Bushwhacker, and IceLance. Then, exit the shop and continue down to exit Termina completely. Back on the World Map yet again, it's time to allocate Elements to your party again like so: Serge: (Level 1 Elements) Revive, Fireball, Cure, Uplift, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, PhotonRay, Bushwhacker (Level 2 Elements) Meteorite, IceLance, Heal, ElectroJolt, Meteorite, GravityBlow, AeroSaucer, MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, Upheaval, Gravitonne, RecoverAll, Dash&Slash (Tech), AquaBall, FirePillar (Level 4 Elements) MeteorShower, HealAll, Strengthen, ElectroBolt, IceBlast, AeroBlaster (Level 5 Elements) Deluge, FreeFall, WeakMinded, Luminaire (Tech), MagmaBurst (Level 6 Elements) HolyLight, LoRes, Inferno (Level 7 Elements) UltraNova, FlyingArrow (Tech) (Level 8 Element) Saints (Summon) Norris: (Level 1 Elements) Uplift, AquaBeam, Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, Fireball, Cure, Uplift, Revive (Level 2 Elements) ElectroJolt, MagmaBomb, Meteorite, IceLance, Heal, FirePillar, ElectroJolt (Level 3 Elements) PhotonBeam, AquaBall, RecoverAll, SpiralRay (Tech), Upheaval, Gravitonne (Level 4 Elements) MeteorShower, IceBlast, MagmaBurst, HealAll (Level 5 Elements) FreeFall, ElectroBolt, SunShower (Tech), LoRes (Level 6 Elements) Earthquake, ThundaStorm (Level 7 Element) TopShot (Tech) Grobyc: (Level 1 Elements) PhotonRay, Bushwhacker, GravityBlow, AquaBeam, Uplift (Level 2 Elements) AeroSaucer, Heal, ElectroJolt, GravityBlow, MagmaBomb (Level 3 Elements) Gravitonne, AquaBall, Upheaval, RocketFist (Tech), Bushbasher (Level 4 Elements) ElectroBolt, IceBlast, RecoverAll, HealAll, MagmaBurst (Level 5 Elements) MeteorShower, AeroBlaster, HairCutter (Tech), LoRes (Level 6 Elements) Inferno, FreeFall, WeakMinded (Level 7 Elements) (leave these empty for now) (Level 8 Element) GrimReaper (Summon) After you're done allocating, go right and up, then left onto your boat. Then, go down and right and dock at Arni Village. From there, go left and down to Opassa Beach again. Opassa Beach (Another World) ---------------------------- When you enter this area, go left to the wormhole and warp to the Home World (you should know how to do this by now ^_^). After that, go right and out of this area. On the World Map, go right and get onto your boat again. Now, head all the way east and enter the Dead Sea Ruins. Dead Sea Ruins (Home World) --------------------------- When you enter this area, you'll find 3 lightly colored sections of water called Fate Distortions. Go to any of them and press X, then your group will be allowed to enter the Sea of Eden. You will then be asked to enter Disc 2, so insert Disc 2 into your Playstation now! Sea of Eden (Another World) --------------------------- After you switch discs, your group will end up in the Sea of Eden, which is in Another World. There will be 3 islands at each point of the triangular shape formed in the middle of this area. Each island will represent the past, present, and future, and the order you visit each one determines which form of Vita you'll have to face soon. In my game, I visited the islands in this order: Past, Present, then Future just to be simple. On each island, be sure to press X at the floating triangles to make that visit count. After you visit the third island, Vita will appear and you'll fight a boss battle against it. Read the Bosses section for help on defeating Vita. After you defeat Vita, your group will gain its 38th Star Level, as well as improved stats. When the rumbling stops, go down and exit the last island you were in. Get on your boat and go to the center area, then dock the boat and enter Chronopolis. ****************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= 6. Bosses -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Mama Komodo HP: 160 Found In: Lizard Rock (Home World) Innate: Blue Strategy: This is a fairly easy fight against the very first actual boss creature of the game! You automatically enter the battle against Mama Komodo after you defeat the third Komodo Pup. To defeat this boss, start off by boosting your Power Level by using physical attacks first until you're at Element Level 3. Then, use the Fire Element to attack effectively since the Fireball Element is Red and does more damage to enemies of the Blue Innate. Whenever the Mama Komodo attacks, be prepared to use a Tablet or Cure Elements to recover from the attack. Just attack, and then use the Fireball Element until this boss is defeated. Karsh/Solt/Peppor HP: 115/52/60 Found In: Cape Howl (Another World) Innate: Green/Yellow/Yellow Strategy: Here is another pretty easy boss battle against these three men. They even drop some hints in the first part of the battle on how to effectively attack using elements. You should focus on defeating Karsh (the man in the middle) because he has the strongest attacks. To defeat Karsh, use regular attacks to build up both your characters' Power Levels, then have Serge use ElectroJolt when he reaches Level 3. That'll take a good chunk of HP away from Karsh. Have the Girl use regular attacks or use her Red Elements if you want. Just keep attacking Karsh until you defeat him. Then, concentrate on Solt and Peppor by using regular attacks until you defeat them. Solt/Peppor HP: 52/60 Found In: Fossil Valley (Another World) Innate: Yellow/Yellow Strategy: When you enter this battle, Solt and Peppor will talk about having a Black Element this time around because it'll do more damage to Serge since he's of the White Innate. Solt will cast TurnBlack on Serge, but it's useless because neither of them have White Elements to attack with! Anyway, defeat them one at a time by having Leena cast TurnRed on one of them, then use Blue Element attacks to cause damage. After you defeat one of them, just repeat the same process until the second one is defeated. Acacia PVTs HP: 70 each Found In: Viper Manor Bluffs (Another World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: This is a pretty simple battle against a couple of Acacia PVT soldiers. To win this one very quickly, have Serge and Kid attack to build up their Power Levels, then have them use their Green Elements to attack. For added damage, you can also have Guile attack and use another Element to attack. After you beat the two soldiers, the battle is over and you'll gain another Star Level! KingMoaman HP: 245 Found In: Viper Manor Bluffs (Another World) Innate: Black Strategy: In this battle, you'll have to fight KingMoaman and its two companions: RedMoaman and BlueMoaman, each with an Innate just like its name. Here, you should concentrate on KingMoaman first because it's the strongest one and can cause the most damage. This is going to be one really hard battle because of the damage their attacks cause. Attack by using regular attacks to boost the Power Levels, then use Tech Skills that each character has to cause damage. Make sure you use the White Innate Elements you have (PhotonRay and Meteorite) against KingMoaman to cause a good amount of damage. Make sure to use Cure to keep your entire party alive and well throughout the battle. After you beat KingMoaman, concentrate on the other two enemies. Use Red and Blue Innate Elements to attack each one (use Red to attack BlueMoaman, and vice versa). Keep your group's health high and use regular attacks, as well as elements and Tech Skills until you finally defeat both RedMoaman and BlueMoaman. Cassowaries HP: 500 Found In: Shadow Forest (Another World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: In this battle, there are 3 Cassowaries against Nikki. In the first 2 rounds, they'll be fighting Nikki while he tries to fight back. When your group is able to fight, just keep using regular attacks on each one until you defeat them. It really isn't worth using Elements in this battle because the Cassowaries are pretty easy to begin with! Zoah/Solt/Peppor HP: 200/80/90 Found In: Shadow Forest (Another World) Innate: Yellow/Yellow/Yellow Strategy: When this battle starts, Solt and Peppor will talk about their new Summoning Element they have. They'll try and summon Golem, but it won't work because the Field Effect isn't the same color. Anyway, concentrate on Zoah first by using regular attacks and Green Elements to attack. Use Tech Skills as well if you want to cause some extra damage. After you beat Zoah, concentrate on defeating Solt and Peppor by attacking one of them until you beat them. Use Green Elements and regular attacks while keeping your party's HP high enough. Be quick because they'll use their CrossCut Tech Skill to inflict a good amount of damage to you. Keep attacking and healing when needed until you defeat them. Acacia Guards HP: 210 Found In: Viper Manor Gates (Another World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: This is a very simple battle and you'll get through it quickly. Fight by using regular attacks to build up the power levels, then use elements, particularly the Green Elements, to attack. Concentrate on one guard at a time to defeat them easier. Keep attacking/using Elements until you beat both guards and win the battle. Solt/Peppor/Ketchop HP: 80/90/260 Found In: Viper Manor Gates (Another World) Innate: Yellow/Yellow/Yellow Strategy: This battle is going to be a bit more difficult because of Ketchop, which is Solt and Peppor's new friend. At the start of the battle, Ketchop will come and knock out one of your characters completely. Go through a couple rounds of battle by using regular attacks/Green Elements/Tech Skills on Ketchop because it's the strongest one there. After a couple rounds, Solt will revive your fallen party member for you. Keep your party's hit points as high as you can while attacking Ketchop. After a while, Ketchop will use an attack where it grabs Solt and Peppor and bangs them together to hurt a party member severely. The good thing is that Solt and Peppor will automatically be out of the battle after that (that's why I told you to go after Ketchop). Just keep using attacks and Elements while keeping your party in good shape until you finally defeat Ketchop. Neo-N-Bulbs HP: 160 each Found In: Viper Manor (Another World) Innate: Green Strategy: This shouldn't be a really hard battle, but it's classified as a boss because you gain a Star Level after winning. To defeat the Neo-N-Bulbs, use regular attacks to boost the power levels, then use Yellow Elements and Tech Skills to attack. Make sure Kid uses Uplift and Guile uses IceLance because they'll both cause good amounts of damage. Serge should also use PhotonRay and Meteorite to cause some added damage to these creatures. Just use mainly regular attacks and those Elements and you'll defeat these two creatures with ease. Marcy HP: 525 Found In: Viper Manor (Another World) Innate: Blue Strategy: Here is a pretty difficult boss fight for you, especially when Marcy starts really attacking! Use the first few rounds to attack normally and build up the power levels, and then use Elements to attack. Make sure to use lots of Red Elements as well, particularly Kid's Red Elements because she causes more damage with them thanks to her Innate. Try to get as many strong attacks in as possible in the beginning to weaken her early in the battle. When she starts using Elements, your group will really be damaged by her attacks. Make sure you keep your party in good shape by using Cure often or maybe Revive if a character loses consciousness. If she starts using IceBlast on your party, use Medicine Elements to unfreeze them, then keep attacking until you defeat her. Lynx HP: 1000 Found In: Viper Manor (Another World) Innate: Black Strategy: Here is a really big battle you'll be entering against Lynx. His attacks are pretty strong, but the fact that he has a Black Innate is an advantage to Serge and the White Elements your party has. So, during the first few rounds, have Serge mainly use regular attacks and some White Elements before Lynx uses AntiWhite on him, which temporarily disables the use of White Elements. Have Kid and Guile use regular attacks and their attack Elements as well to cause damage. As for Lynx, he'll just use some status-affecting elements for the first couple rounds (Imbecile), then he'll start with the HellSoul and maybe HellBound attacks. While fighting Lynx, keep using regular attacks and elements to keep the Field Effect from becoming completely black. Just keep having your party attack and use Elements, especially White Elements, until you finally defeat Lynx. The key to this battle is attacking strong early in the battle so you defeat him before he uses HellBound to take lots of damage from your group. That's why I said to use elements of different colors to keep the Field Effect from being totally black. Hi-Ho Dwarves HP: 90 each Found In: Hydra Marshes (Home World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: This battle is being fought against 6 different dwarf enemies with some pretty strong Elements. Fight by using regular attacks to boost your characters' power levels, then use Elements such as MagmaBomb to hit all the dwarves at once. You should definitely use Green Elements as well to weaken a single dwarf and possibly finish it off quickly. Be careful when the dwarves use their Elements and Tech Skills to attack because they'll damage your party severely after a few attacks. So, make sure to keep using Cure Elements to keep your party in good shape in this battle. I think you should concentrate on attacking the heck out of one dwarf at a time, but you can also use multi-hit attacks as well to make things go somewhat faster. Just keep downing the dwarves one by one until you defeat them all for that new Star Level! Hydra HP: 700 Found In: Hydra Marshes (Home World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: In this battle against the Hydra, you better be prepared for a fight! Start off by using regular attacks, mostly the stronger ones, to boost the power levels, then unleash all the Green Elements to attack the Hydra. Be careful when it retaliates by attacking or using PutridOdor because it can take a decent amount of damage away with just a single hit! After you run out of Green Elements to use, start using other attack elements of various colors to attack. When you really weaken Hydra, it'll start to boost its defense and lower your party's defense. Continue with the barrage of attacks while keeping your party in top shape until you defeat it. Dead Head HP: 700 Found In: S.S. Invincible (Another World) Innate: Black Strategy: When you first enter this battle, it looks like you're going to fight 5 Dead Beats, but they'll all fuse together to become the boss creature, Dead Head. Attack by using regular attacks to boost the power levels, then use White9 Elements to cause some real damage. When Dead Head uses Diminish and Death'sOdor, keep attacking, but wait around 3 or 4 rounds for the effects of Diminish to wear off. Then, you can use your Elements with full force again, so use your best White Elements (PhotonBeam, Meteorite, PhotonRay) at that point. Whenever Dead Head attacks your party, be sure to keep them in top shape by using Cures and RecoverAlls on your party often. This is a long fight, but just keep up with attacking/using Elements and you'll finally defeat it. Hi-Ho Dwarves HP: 200 each Found In: Water Dragon Isle (Home World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: As soon as this battle starts, the group of dwarves will use Hi-Ho Chorus to attack your entire party. It won't hurt you too much, so don't worry. Concentrate on attacking one dwarf at a time by using regular attacks, then Green Elements to cause a whole lot more damage. You can also use multi-hit Elements, such as MagmaBomb to hit them all at once. You won't even have to worry about your party's HP since the dwarves don't hurt you too much. So, just keep nailing them with Green Elements and multi-hitting attacks until you manage to defeat the Hi-Ho Dwarves again! Hi-Ho Tank HP: 1000 Found In: Water Dragon Isle (Home World) Innate: Yellow Strategy: Now, this is going to be a pretty tough fight because of the large amount of damage taken whenever the Hi-Ho Tank attacks! Don't worry about the two Dwarves accompanying the Hi-Ho Tank because they won't cause that much damage to you, fortunately. Concentrate on defeating the Hi-Ho Tank by using regular attacks to boost the power levels, then use Green Elements to cause some damage. Make sure that whenever the tank attacks a party member that you use Cure immediately to keep their HP high, in case of another attack. Make sure you use Tech Skills, especially Guile's because his is the most powerful one. After you cause enough damage to the tank, it'll have the two Dwarves Repair it, thus recovering around 100 HP each time. At this point, start defeating those two Dwarves to prevent future Repairs. After you beat those Dwarves, keep attacking the Hi-Ho Tank while keeping your party's HP high until you finally defeat it. Firedragon HP: 850 Found In: Mount Pyre (Another World) Innate: Red Strategy: This battle is going to be pretty tough, especially because whenever the Firedragon uses a Red Element attack and it hits Leena, she'll lose practically all her HP in one shot! The plan here is to use LOTS of Blue Elements to weaken it, as well as to fill up the Field Effect. You must do that in order to cast the FrogPrince Summon. Have each of your characters attack regularly to boost their levels, then have each of them cast a Blue Element to attack. Hopefully, if your 3 members get enough attacks in quick enough and the Field Effect is blue, you can have Leena cast FrogPrince and pretty much finish off this fight quickly. If not, just use regular attacks and Blue Elements, while keeping your party's health high, until you defeat it. Karsh/Marcy/Zoah HP: 370/300/436 Found In: Mount Pyre (Another World) Innate: Green/Blue/Yellow Strategy: In this battle, you're stuck having to fight and defeat all 3 of the Dragoon Devas. I advise you start off by concentrating on attacking Zoah. Since he's the strongest one there. Use lots of regular attacks on Zoah, as well as many strong Elements, especially the Green ones to hurt Zoah more. As you fight, the 3 enemies will be attacking you, but it's nothing to REALLY worry about. So, just keep your party in good shape and you'll be just fine. After you beat Zoah, concentrate on Marcy. Like with Zoah, use lots of strong attacks and Elements to defeat her. After you beat her, just use the same battle plan to defeat Karsh and win the battle. Taurusoid HP: 1200 Found In: Fort Dragonia (Another World) Innate: Green Strategy: Let me warn you right now that this is going to be a pretty tough battle if you can't keep your party's health up. Taurusoid has some really tough attacks that take a whole lot of HP away from your party. Just attack quickly and powerfully while making sure to use lots of good Elements to attack. Try not to use Yellow Elements since it seems to use Heal
